Personaly I hope its a elf and not a creepy on like merril. And they said the elf design will be diffrent right? I usually dont choose to be a mage but i will definalty be going all out for DAI so i must be a mage. I hope the next companion they show is a prettly elf girl

I don't get why people mock this so much. She has an incredibly gaunt face because she's supposed to be a famished elven servant from Tevinter, and her makeup is probably bad because she was completely ignorant on "beauty" tips given she was raised a damn slave.

 

If every man, woman, and child was aesthetically appealing, it would be one hell of a stupid design.

I sincerely doubt there will only be three women in the party.

A 5:4 ratio is hundred times more likely, and the three other men that are being considered are not even remotely semi-confirmed.

 

I'm banking on another female elf or dwarf, although I believe another elf is more likely.

 

If Sera is supposed to be a city elf, then the other one would be Dalish. It would be a nice clash of cultures that could be explored more thoroughly.

Given that we're heading to the Dales, this is what I'm truly betting on.

I wouldn't call Merrill creepy. It's not her fault, it was DA2's stupid avatar-wannabe elf design. Personality wise, she's actually quite adorable. Well aside from her stubbornness, and obsession with that creepy ass mirror, she's intelligent, kind, love her people, and a bit over bubbling. A nice person with flaws, nothing creepy. I still consider rival Merrill romance is the best romance option in DA2.

 

Anyhow, we will see. I like the black hair elf design, but her long braid hair will be a big problem since someone has already stated that long hair movement is quite troublesome so they decided to go with short / shoulder-long hair instead. Guess that design melted into our "sera". So far we don't know anything worthwhile so I'm hoping next month she will be our "follower of the month".

God I would really hope for a female dwarf companion as well. Why do so many of the companions have to be humans.
