If I wasn't logical, I would say that there is 100% that Charade Amell is not a companion.  However, since it would be illogical to make an absolute statement like that, I'll amend it to "I think that there is greater than 99% chance that Charade Amell is not a companion."

I'm just hoping it's a dwarf.

I was hoping for Sigrun, but I suppose they would have announced her already.

Not quite true.  They have stated that not all of the companions would be revealed by the release date.  That being said, as much as I want her back too, I see it as unlikely.  Not only is she a Warden, she's a rather perky Death Seeker.  In the epilogue slides where she lives, the Warden kept Sigrun busy so she wouldn't go back to the Deep Roads to die.  Now that the Warden has vanished, the chances of seeing Sigrun again are pretty slim.  It's been...what, around 12-ish years or so since the events of Awakening?  Yeah, I don't plan to see her again.

Her and Nate Howe were my two favorite characters in Awakening.

You know, I'm not sure how they are going to achieve that considering we are only missing 2 (out of 9) already (ok, we do not know the Grey Warden name, so more like 2.5 missing) and we have plenty of possible canditates to fill the slots left.

At this point, the only surprise would be that there is a 4th female...

It would be a pleasant one to be sure.  My question is, what role would she be?  So far what we know is one warrior (Cassandra) two rogues (Varric/"Sera") and two mages (Vivi/Solas)  It's up in the air about Iron Bull.  Some figure he's a rogue due to being a mercenary as well as some art showing him with two weapons.  Others assume he's a warrior due to his size.

I'd love to see a lady dwarf warrior, myself.

Well, there is a mention of Dagna in the leaked information about the game.  From the looks of it though, she's not going to be a companion.  :(

I think that's a good thing :P, i don't want to "babysit" a brother/sister in arms, and i feel that it would happen with someone like Dagna in our party ^^. Then again i could just not use her in the party if that's the case, so you know, either way ;)

My main problem with Dagna is that she really didn't seem to be a fighter and I doubt they teach very much in the way of martial arts in the Circle.  She couldn't be a mage so she'd just...be there.  That's a very poor reason to have a character around.  I am thrilled that she has a role, no matter how small, in Inquisition.

I do want to ask what kind of personality and class you guys would want for a lady character?  I know we have jack and squat to go on, but I'd love to hear some ideas.

I'd love Leliana.

From what I've found, Leliana is going to be an NPC again.  Granted, it looks like a very important NPC, but I wouldn't get your hopes up.  What about a character that has some of her qualities without being a Suspiciously Similar Substitute?

I do not care what kind of companions I get as long as there is variety of race, class, personality and gender in the entire pool and that they do not feel like reharsh of previous games.  In this case, we already have a mage and warrior lady, so a rogue lady should be next. No personality preference. Well, I do not really have a preference except that I'm incapable of enjoying "evil" playthrough so I have a tendency to prefer companions that do no complains about me saving kittens (exception: Kreia in KoTOR2, but that's not a BioWare game).

I'm also not really a fan of character returns unless they are upgraded minor NPCs so we can learn more about them as well (like Isabela or Cassandra. I consider Cassandra minor, because unless you watched DotS you just know that she is a Seeker on a mission and a bit grumpy). There is no exception here. I prefer my companions to represent new things and new point-of-views.

Yeah, you're right. Well, maybe she'll have a cameo if the Warden shows up....

If we had someone else on top of Sera, right? Sorry, I'm really tired, so hopefully I understood correctly.

Um... well, I'm always in favor of a sizable human population but we already have two human females, and we have an elf, so yeah, either a dwarf or qunari... let's go with qunari female mage. That's exciting.

And she's... well, pretty repressed, but slowly you can push her to embrace the world around her. Or you can try to press her back into accepting her lot, but there's such a thing as going too far, and she offs herself as a result if it happens.

Alternatively a third human. I know, I know. I'm boring. But there's so much diversify with our race in most fantasies. This one could be an Alamarri mage. Which in my tiredness I think I misspelled. Yeah, I keep going mage. I dunno why.

Last but not least, Sigrun returns. Somehow. Pipedream.

I actually really like the idea of a female qunari suffering from post-traumatic stress after escaping the qun, maybe because she was a sarabaas. Please bioware dont let this opportunity slip by

I would be surprised if we get another dwarf. Pleasantly so, but they've never given us two dwarves at the same time. I don't think the game could handle that much awesome.

Oh yeah, I really doubt it would happen. I'm of a mind Sera is probably the only remaining female companion anyway though, as I've hedged my bets on Dorian and Cole as the last two.

Pipedreams though dammit! :P

A dwarf or Qunari would be good as long as it`s a she  :)
