I have been making a character but in ME2 am planning on branching him of into 3 different characters, is it possible for me to reuse this character and to possibally change the name ? As im going for different choices in ME2 but in ME1 all choices would basically be the smae, so its just a way to save time.

I don't see why you couldn't just copy and paste multiple copies of your savegame. Although, I guess there are ways I could see this wouldn't work. But also I don't see why it wouldn't. Can't hurt to try at the least.

Idk about the name change, but I don't see why you wouldn't be able to import the same character multiple times.

Yeah im sure I could import multiple times, but that woul be complicaed if I have 3 characters with the same name on the career screen.

Yes, it is entirely possible to use one completed save file from Mass Effect 1 to play through Mass Effect 2 multiple times. This was confirmed by Chris in the "Importing Save Files" (I think that was the name of it) sticky in the old forums. :happy:
As for changing the first name, I have no idea. I know that you can change Shepard's appearance and class, but not gender. Sorry.

Oh, good. I think I would cry if I had to replay through ME1 much more just to satisfy the completionist in me.

Haha, I know what you mean. I just finished my last perfect playthough; two male Sheps (paragon and renegade) and one female (renegade). Because all women are evil at heart, there wouldn't be any reason to play as a female paragon; It'd be an oxymoron.

But yes, I am now just waiting patiently for ME2.
