Paragon every time but once, just so I have an EVEEEEL Character to import.

This time,I might go dark with my originally paragon shepard, just because i think the story might call for it.

I kinda played it natural on my first playthrough of ME1 with my male, earthborn, sole survivor,infiltrator/commando and wound up at ~45% paragon, 100% renegade which was a little surprising. I'll probably import him for my first playthrough of ME2.

I'm planning to finish up another play through with my female, war hero, soldier/shock trooper who's sitting at ~95% paragon, 30% renegade at level 45 just before Virmire for another import option over the course of this weekend, but I might wind up doing my female, spacer, ruthless, vanguard who's leaning much more renegade at around level 30 instead.

It was really hard to go paragon for me and still feel connected to my characters in ME1. Guess I'm too much of the Chaotic Good type.

I actually didn't feel that way at all in ME1.  It feels much more like renegade =chaotic, paragon=lawful to me more often than not.

I'm a Sole-survivor/Earthborn Paragon, but I did one or two Renegade things (Helena Blake for example, but you know, I did the Paragon thing at the end). My decisions might be more situational this time around, so who knows what I'll end up as - probably mostly Paragon though.

Both my Vanguard and Adept are paragons. While my soldier is a bada** renegade!

Although my main is a Paragon, I do enjoy playing a Renegade. The key to playing a Renegade is not to automatically select the bottom right/red text whenever it appears, but rather only when the situation demands it.

For example, one of my Renegades are a vigilante type character - he doesn't harm innocents or sacrifice his moral beliefs for the sake of the mission, but will kill any law-breaker on the spot. Or my "do whatever it takes to complete the mission Renegade"  who is pretty self-explanatory.

Both characters ended up with a decent percentage of Paragon points, and neither of them acted like a egotistic jerk.

I want to say I'm paragon all the way but when it comes down to it I'll do whatever it takes to keep the entire team alive, loyal and happy.  If I gotta kill a few innocents to keep Grunt around that's what I'll do.  Otherwise though I definitely prefer playing paragon.

I only had 1 Renegade playthrough; as an Adept, Earther, Ruthless. The next closest was a female Engineer who was just saying whatever I felt like saying at the time.

All other playthroughs are pure Paragon/Charm. I am hoping there are a decent amount of Paragon interupts, I haven't really seen anything but Renegade ones at the moment. :(

I ended up being 100% paragon, and about 25% renegade. When there were standoffs I always tried to end it peacefully, and didn't cut anyone down for no reason. But if they gave me reason, I brought down the hammer on them. I predict I'll handle ME2 the same way.

But probably more renegade since no one seemed to learn their lesson from the last time I saved their sorry asses. "ll have to knock some sense into em. Plus how can you not take advantage of the interrupt system. Push a guy out of a window? Yes, Please.

I generally go paragon (80-90% perhaps). But I like to keep it fresh with some renegade, because sometimes, people just need a beating.

That's how I  play as well.  I  treat my squad and those I'm helping in a paragon manner but often times I  dish out the renegade on those I'm fighting.

My first play through was a colonist war hero who did anything to further the human cause. So I had the Renegade ending and am planning on playing ME2 for the first time with this character. Actually, now that i think of it, my shepard kinda fits cerberus B)

I'm always a Paragon, although I do, on occasion, choose the more assertive Renegade lines, if only because I have a spine.

Certainly as a Paragon. I yet have to play ME 1 as a Renegade, it's just not in my personality setup to be an ass to be people.

Paragon...

Mainly because I feel that renegade options are just rude cosmetic dialog changers and rarely change the course of action. On the other hand selecting paragon options makes you feel like a teddy bear. And I rather be a teddy bear than a lunatic. I am already mad enough. ;)

I hope this has changed in ME2. :)

yeah paragon, first time, after that I branch out. and there really isn't any "planning" going on there, I play closest to how I would, and Shepard's still more renegade than I would be

I'm going to do a combo... if I remember correctly a dev posted the best playthroughs are both renegade and paragon. I'm assuming that means that you choose responses that party members that are with you will like... so you gain their loyatly

Well I think the interupt give a more pro-active approach to paragon in a very good way

Paragon reporting for duty. It's so hard to be a jerk to people, though admittedly the renegades do get some pretty funny one-liners.

I'm going to use my main Vanguard Shepard and he's Colonist/War Hero plus I'm always going to choose the Paragon options.
