What I believe should be Mass Effect 2's ending song Faunts - M4 Part 1

As you know this band did the ending song for the first, which gave me goosebumps for being such a great and ambient song for Mass Effect, would this fit the end of Mass Effect 2 or no?

It's an okay score. Jack wall does nice for video game music. I really would like to see a bigger composed score for the final game. Something that isn't just a bunch of synthesizers. Create music like what was heard in the launch trailers. That would be a fantastic way to finalize the series - a grand orchestrated score with a large chorus and all.

I somewhat disagree. A bigger more epic score - Yes! Violoins and all out-LOTR - No!!!!

THE great thing about ME's music is the synthesizers. Its genuine space music. Iw as actually worried that ME2 would have an orchestral score, but now I feel fine again:) And the Mmmerheads coming too! Whoopie:D

I understand. The style brings out more of a SciFi world. It still feels really short and cheap, like the majority of video game music. It should be like film scores - to carry the emotion of the characters and the story, instead of just adding to the atmosphere.

Well I don't know if this would be considered a spoiler or not, since it's all just credits:

Looks like they just used the track "Suicide Run" from the official soundtrack.

Also, I like the new soundtrack, it's more intense, but I also miss some of the more synth-style ones from the first game.

Bioware realized this way back in the first game.

In case you didn't notice, the soundtrack was a mixture of synth/digital and orchestral scores.

It was and is brilliant, and it is being carried into and expanded upon ME2.

I've heard the credit music. It's awesome and you can find it on soundtrack. Not a band. STILL REALLY GOOD

There are cues, here and there, that sound similar to cues from movie soundtracks. For example, whenever you're in a place that is somewhat a mystery to be solved, or requires a creepy sound. The first mission you take with Miranda and Jacob, where you run into Tali. That little scary piece has cues that sound like they're from the Alien soundtrack. Actually, it sounds like it's different cues from a few of the Alien films - merged together.

Just finished the game. This is my favorite RPG saga. And that's saying a lot coming from a gamer of the pretty old RPG days.

But about the music. It wasn't expanded AT ALL in ME2. Man, there's almost no music through the whole game : (
I.E: At the end of the opening scene there's only like 6 notes on a piano and that's it.

ME1 endend with a bang in the credits. ME2 was just a generic sound that even gets muted by half the credits... Its a shame that, while Bioware fixed everything that was wrong in ME1, dropped the ball with the only element that was praised by everyone: the music.

No music? Wat? Did we not play the same game? The music is awesome, and there's tons of it. Almost all, if not all, of the major battle sequences have their own unique soundtracks. Every character has theme music, every planet has theme music, every mission has its own set of often unique tracks. There are freaking dozens of tracks in the game's files, and I would know because I've dug through them to find tracks I like.

I Loved Jack Wall's score - But I agree with someone up there - take the same score and weed out the excessive synthesizers - replace with Orcehstra!!

Is it just me, or is the music that plays in Afterlife NOT on the OST? Checked it out on iTunes and was disappointed.

I stopped listening to that song after the first five seconds. Excuse me while I drain the blood coming out of my ears!

Anyways on a more serious note, that song does not fit the style or mood of Mass Effect 2's ending. I was very glad that they went with an orchestrated score for the credits. I was especially glad that the song was arguably the best on the soundtrack.

ME1 end credits were disappointingly generic (meaning generic, not omg I don't like this, even though it is true, I do not like that track), the rest of the tracks in both games were mostly great, especially ME1 opening.

Everyone has their own tastes in music, but seriously, more "grand" orchestral tracks, would just ruin this refined, sophisticated sound, dumb it down. I know that the definition of "epic music" is strings + vocals sung by a girl in her nightdress on a snowy mountain top for a lot of you, and that's what you'd like here too; while others would rather have the Lil' Metallica Linkin West Shady Spears Boys Of Enya doing the OST for ME3, but you all can get the stuff you want elsewhere, while those of us with high standards don't really get music like this on every corner/channel/game or movie.
