Just been curious about this, but, is there a specific armor type classes still use or ALL armor can be used for ALL classes? Like in ME1 biotics use light armor, and Soldier use Heavy... etc.

We've been told some specific pieces of armor will be class-specific, like "Soldier Only" or "Engineer Only." Also, some armor pieces will have benefits that just aren't useful to certain classes, like biotic cooldown reductions.

The armor is now modular. Light, medium and heavy don't exist anymore so you can wear what you want.
