Soldier is meant for FPS gamers, play as a Soldier if you want to play the game like a shooter.
Or if you just want to play a Badass Normal space marine instead of somebody with super powers? Roleplay is not the exclusive ****ing domain of biotic and tech classes.

Wow, so much condescension and partonizing in this topic. RPG fans really think they are a breed above don't they? I mean I am as hardcore a CRPG fan as anyone here, but that still does not stop me from enjoying and appreciating the merits of shooters like Halo, even though PC did it first. Come on people, there is a place for deep experiences, and there is a place for fast action lighthearted ones. To love one over the other does not make one an idiot, so stop acting like it.

Seriously. I play D&D, I've played all of the wonderful BioWare RPGs, all the FF series as well. I also loved Half-life and Halo. Why are so many people so damned bitter towards people who like shooters? Mass Effect was a shooter/RPG from the very beginning. It was never meant to be a D&D-style, sci-fi RPG(in fact, d20 system doesn't work with guns... at all.). So what did you expect when you bought ME1?

Bunjie doesn't care about their IP. Bioware cares about all of theirs. All hail Bioware!
If this wasn't sarcasm, I'm lauding this as the most ignorant statement of the day.

Compairing ODST with Mass effect? Dispicable!
I'll have to second that.
Mass Effect > Halo
Mass Effect is a RPG/TPS. NOT AN FPS!

I be sneaking.
As for morality, ODST would be more ambiguous. Just do whatever Jacob tells you and you should be fine.

I agree with you, but unfortunately forums exist for the sole perpose of people to prejudice against others without fear of getting punched in the face.
Although with the increase in 3D technology...soon...so very soon...none of them shall be safe. MWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

you make them in fanboy shapes, a 360 mouse, PS3 mouse, MS fans, Mac so forth... the more fanboy based ones the more people will buy them, cause come on they will. Then when you see someone act up you know you can send the code to there mouse.

[sarcasm]
You are wrong, FPS players are dirty, filthy unsophisticated peasants and it is our job as RPG players to bring them to the light. And that means we have to troll everyone who plays FPS games because it is the only language the unwashed commoners understand[/sarcasm]
I understand the OP has made a stupid thread already but my point stands.
