just thinking, dont know if anyone else thought of it, but what if the collecters are behind the reapers? why else would they all of a sudden abduct humans, and for all i know, just humans. i mean, shepered defeats the reapers, now the collecters are intrested in them. it makes sense to me.
Well while the Collector's are just recently taking whole colonies of humans and such, they had been taking other people too, least according to the Mass Effect wiki.

i didnt know that, but thanks, and for motive, the gene thing works, but sovereign said that they use different species for their technology. and humans destroyed him. so, that would be a reason for the collectors to take humans

Or maybe reapers did it to stop others from entering? ... Would be fun if they were on "our" side

If you ask me, the collectors are a client race of the Reapers, like the keepers. It makes a little sense, the collectors gather intel on developing races, and send the data back to the reapers out in dark space so that the Reapers can more efficiently wipe out civilizations.
That is what sovereign was there for... And he used the geth not the collectors... If he needed data he could use the collectors couldn't he?
Why would the reapers keep the collectors anyway? Maybe as a fail-switch... But then did they fail before? And why didn't sovereign use them instead of geth? He thought he was winning but they sure would make powefull allies on the atack on the citadel for him...
No.. i think there is some merrit in them being reapers enemies.. The ones that survived somehow? Hiding and waiting for a chance.. an now they got it?... Hmm.. Intruguing thought if you ask me.

Well if you remember Soverign said he didn't wish to use Organics anymore like the Keepers for the capability of being comprimised, why he preffered the Geth.

Sovereign didn't say anything like that. Vigil did an assumtion on this. That might be it... Still he used Saren... and many others including Liaras mother... even so why they are "using " the collectors now?
This just doesn't add up at all. Organics failed them (Saren, Keepers) So they are turning to organics now? I doubt it...
Collectors either don't have a thing to do with reapers or they are fighting them...

the collectors have more advanced technology than any of the other organics though, so they could be their if-all-else-fails-which-it-wont-but-somehow-does-plan
Or they could just be an OLDER organic race that escaped the reapers atack. Red Omega relay? All others are blue.
Dead reaper ship? Maybe its in the omega system...? Just saying maybe...
Its more plausable then reapers "using" organics once again... as if that worked before...
Even when we take the side of reapers using them for something... Isn't that just stupid to take all humans away? Why would that work in any way? The reapers strenght... main power was a surprise atack that cut every plant off.... Eliminating justy humans with their measly 11 or so bilion people and a few small colonies isn't really going to weaken the whole galaxy enough is it?
