Let's take a survey. I've seen many people erroneously state Tali's "mystery" and her "elusiveness" is the reasoning behind why we like her so much. That's definitely not the case for me, but maybe I'm in a minority, and that is the way most others feel. So here's my 2 part question. If Tali was a romance option in the original and we saw her face, would you still like her as much going into ME2? If Tali actually is a romance option, are you going to like her any less or will you like her just as much?

Can i keep my feeling towards her as a strictly, Shepard's little sister platonic kind of realationship?

I love her because she's smart, outgoing, inquisitive, caring, witty, friendly, helpful... and has a wonderful accent. :)

Yes, the "mystery" about her is kind of nice... but I just think she's the best female character they have created. Far more deep than Ashley or Liara, that's for sure. They're very simplistic and shallow.

No, I didn't care for her in the first one and I most likely won't really think of her as more then a squad member in the 2nd one.

Tali can look however she wants, her attractiveness lies in her person, wit, and attitude. If she ends up being an LI in ME2 I'm going to like her just the same if not more.

Well that may be a factor but I think the real reason you Tali fans like her so much is because of her body and "Dem Hips".

I like Tali because she is generally friendly, helpful, and a bit of a geek. She was kind of like my Shepherd's cool sidekick, like Han and Chewbacca. This does not translate into "Interesting" for a lot of people and that is totally understandable.

I am very interested in the potential development of the character, especially how she will interact with an independent Geth like Legion, after being exiled from her home.

Her hips are nice I suppose but to be honest I didn't even notice them until I started browsing the forums. What drew me in foremost was her personality and that's the way it looks with most of her fanbase.

Oh please when you fans talk about how great Tali's personality is you sound like those gold diggers who describe the wrinkly old rich guy that they are dating as "Witty and charming".

Oh lol S&B i diddnt recognise you for a second there

To be fair I didnt really take her on many missions so the only part of her I saw of her was on the ship where she talks about the pilgramage and the migrant fleet.

Yep. 'Sup Gandalf.

Like I said, I didn't even notice her hips, but there was a sort of sexual attraction. You've got to realize, there are people that find animated characters hot. But for me "hotness" alone wouldn't be enough. Her personality goes a long way.

Geeky girls are fun, and that's always been my favorite thing about Tali. I just wish her role had been further developed in ME 1.

I'd like her as a romance option in ME 2 mostly because I think an alien, non-asari LI for males would be the most interesting option to me. If the Fems get Thane we should get something a bit more unique too.

I found her character likeable, nothing more.

It's a computer game and I'm happily married. Saying I "love" a fictional dextro-protein-based alien in a video game seems odd. I never pursue relationships in Bioware games for that reason, they make me feel uncomfortable. In-game, the way I see it is, Shepard has a mission; a very important mission, and if I were him I wouldn’t be dicking aliens in the limited spare time I had.

I liked Tali because of her skill set. I played as a Vanguard during my first playthrough an her Tech talents were unmatched. Combine her tanking ability with her being able to open up any container made me value her highly. As long as her talents don't change for the worst, I'll just as interested in having her around in ME2.

I am also a big fan of Tali. I got her squad acheivment along with wrex in my first playthrough. However I have to say she was not very deep at all. In fact I would say that along with Garrus she was among the least developed of all the squadmates in the game. A walking codex if you will.

That is why I am so excited to see her in the sequal... This will be her time to grow, to become a deeper and more mature character than the young, fresh faced Quarian we met in the first game,

I liked her alot in the first game, really suprised how much I did, because I was expecting liara to be my favorite character (still is my second favorite though). I like her for basically most of the reasons people have stated before, the mystery is kind of nice but I would honestly like to see what the Devs decided to make her look like, I could be disappointed.
