No, I don't KNOW that those omitted items are where your trouble may be found. Are you certain you know it is not?

V1.02 ran smoothly all the way from beginning to end, V1.03 crashes in almost every long fight at least once, especially when it's there's a lot of magic involved.

Patch 1.03 was supposed to solve the memory leak problem but in reality, I think it only partially alleviated it. There is still some memory leaking occuring but it appears to be related to the number of transition scenes you go through during each play session. By practice before a major battle, I do a hard save, Quit the session then Resume from the main menu - this seems to clear the memory leaking and start anew. I've been able to go through all the major battles without a CTD.

Of course it crashes, it's designed to crash.
Also Zillion posts about it.
Yet there are, but some of us are looking for a solution, not for answers.

Yes, and in those threads fixes that helped some people were posted, have a look, but overall, no luck so far for everybody, just a select few.

I am also having crashing problems in the mage section.
I got to sloth and it shut down and brought me to the website here (log in screen)
Went back in, talked to sloth , left and headed back to starting place. Got there and game closed again. (Did not send me to web site this time.)
Went back to sloth and did what needs to be done and headed back to the fire circle.
Demon starting coming up and game closed again.
I did not recieve any error messages.
I had also not restarted from the install and from setting stuff up on the website.
Every thing was athorized (sp)
So I will try again when I get home incase I was getting game closer becuase I had not restarted PC.
I installed from the 2 dvd's I do not believe I downloaded any fix patches.
Any help would be helpful.
Thank you,
Kraytak

Kraytak, I'd say install patches first, they might help you prevent that problem in the future (atleast, I haven't heard of anybody crashing and then being send to the website).
You are already patched with DAOUE
If you want to check go to your configure/game tab.
All patch versions are lised there

Ok, I thought it was more like the normal + expansion + the dlc's (without the game being patched)
Also, its wrecking the immersiveness when you have to save before every fight in the game (because it just might crash). Still hoping for a fix.

why haven.t this post been answered by a bioware technician or at least a forum master,............jesus
Because Bioware doesn't care to fix Dragon Age bugs until people have given up and realised their money was stolen from them.

Go ahead and ban me if you don't like what I said....all we want is a frikkin update on a patch and something saying you're aware of the multiple problems listed on the forums.

Edit note: Finally got through it without crashing, but then the death scene looped forever. Had to ALT-F4 out, hitting ESC would just make the loop itenerate.

Release date: 19 July 2010 (PC Version patch)
>4< months since the release of patch 1.04. Since then, I didn't get ANY question answered wether there will be patch 1.05 or not. Additionaly, as someone pointed out ^, BioWare didn't even acknowledge that there are still bugs/crashes in this game.
Basically, if I ask again: Devs, is there a patch coming out or not?, the question remains unanswered.
