I tried searching through the forums, but there is just so many posts here I couldn't find what I was looking for. So, I loaded the update before it was taken down. But I was still doing the origin stories so I didn't have any specialties yet. Is it ok to continue before they fix this with another update or will my game get screwed up when I am suppose to get a specialty?
Question about bad update?

You can still play. You just won't be able to level up as one of the specialty sub classes, because they remain locked on the level up screen.

exactly, i could play but it wouldn't worth it, i dont wanna hav to unlock those every time, it's exhausting.. and i'm too lazy to clear out my cache so i just won't play "sigh" i was havin so much fun

The only reason for someone to still have the glitched patch on their hardrive would be if they need the achievements for the dlc. Once they are fixed you don't need it. Clear Cache is easy. Sys. Settings - Memory - press Y on the HD screen then say yes to maintenance - scroll to clear cache. It deletes only updates and not saves or dlc. Once it's gone it takes about a half hour for the servers to give you back your locked specializations. Wait or play then do a restart and next level up you should see your lost specs light back up. If you don't you won't be able to save them and after the first time the spec. books are gone. I ain't lyin.

All you have to do is force the game to go look up the file on some server, probably EA or Bioware or something. Playing for a little while (by loading a save or starting a new char) will do that. Next time you play they'll be unlocked again.
