I'm a huge fan of Mass Effect, played it thoroughly on my old computer. Unfortunately to my dismay when I reinstalled it to play through it again I have a dual core AMD processor in my current computer. I tried all the patches and everything, still got crappy framerate to the point of crashing 15 minutes in.
So with ME2 so close to release, I was wondering if there's anyways to, I dunno, copy a save game from someone else and paste it into your ME2 game? I'd hate to have to start off a new ME2 game and not have have Garrus or Wrex remeber me. :C
Is this possible, and if so how does one go about copying their saved game file?
Question: Are Save Games from ME1 Transferable?

Yes. Just grab the save file.
I wouldn't do so myself though... as I wouldn't feel right playing someone else's game... even if they're basically making all the same choices as I would. Just wouldn't feel the same.

Do you still have access to your old computer? Just go to My Documents, look around for either your My Games folder or an Electronic Arts folder and then check those folders for Mass Effect. Then proceed to copy the Save directory over to your current computer. I think the only necessary files are the end game completion files. They have a bunch of numbers in the file name rather than being named.
