I use the term lightly, it could be a person, place, a culture, even an item. Anything that really stood out to you, or caught your interest. And this isn't about "Dragon ages combat system wasn't as good as -Insert game here-!!!". Its about what your enjoyed the most. The comedy of sten, the fade, killing people randomly because the knife of death is funny to you, the "surprise me" option at the pearl? ...

My favorite thing is the deep roads, I like the mystery and lore. There are hundreds of miles of tunnel, most of which has been sealed off, nobody even really knows whats down there anymore because of the darkspawn. Its the ultimate mystery.

I'd like to know more about the darkspawn's origins too. What what ive found through tablets in the deep roads, they just sort of showed up one day, they harassed tavelers on the deep roads, but they were more of a whisper and a fairy tale. They were looking for the first arch demon, and when they found him all hell broke loose.

The Legion of the Dead.

EDIT: Actually, this might be better in a spoiler section.

Don't know if we can openly discuss the story behind them as I think that would be considered a spoiler but, yeah, bioware certainly knows how to weave a wicked tale.

Hmm, is there a way to move or delete my topic to remake it in the campaign forum?

I wonder if that shouldn't be better in the Spoiler Forums. I'll make this a regular Best Of-list out of the back of my mind. I will use only very, very minor spoilers of a general kind about the Quest of the Urn of Sacred Ashes, the Deep Roads and a guy called Riordan.
The nature of the Fade and demons. It sounds very plausible and atmospheric. Andraste the dragon; like calling a pet a weird name, only on epic scale with all the death and madness. The werewolfe/Lady of the Forest quest. Some convincing stuff there, and one of the more atmospheric dungeons. And also the Deep Roads, though only in details (Broodmother, the precipices, lyrium that takes on the form of hands). And lastly, Riordan... (I'm not sure if he isn't just another Duncan with a different face, but still).

Absolutely love everything about the dwarves. I still firmly believe we should have had dwarven romance options.

My favourite concept would be the blood and death animations, they are awesome and for me they defined the game.

Visually being able to see the difference between critical and normal hits was an awesome innovation.

Great game! :D

The omnipresence of sexual attraction and liaisons, Ferelden for all its smelling of wet dog is quite a sexed-up place.

So much of it was great. But if I had to pick...um, I think it would be Shale and golems in general. The sacrifice, the potential for abuse, the abilities. It was all very interesting and enjoyable to me.

I loved the cut seen where you first meet Morrigan. The way you first see her in the distance and out of focus then she goes into her speech - that voice!

Qunari culture closely followed by old Tevinter lore.

Tevinter lore (including the backstory). We 'must' see what is left of the Ancient Imperium sometime. It feels like something really Byzantine, and that would be a fun adventure to have all in itself.

the morality and the choices with the various Desire Demons, the fact they had a real valid, if twisted, point of view.

and the best the variety of Origins, the fact they provide true motivation, not just, you must save the world, because it needs saving. and the fact that you play through your background, which helps in growing an attachment to your character.

There is so much to love about this game, but what keeps me playing is the dialogue. The companions and NPCs become real people, not just cardboad cut-outs.

The whole situation of the Dalish backstory.

The creepiest was the broodmother story, and seeing it. *SHUDDER*

The way magic is handled. As much as I *personally* hate parts of it (the Templars/Chantry's role in things) it makes sense. Magic is dangerous and looked down upon, and yet seen as useful as well. It makes for a very complex issue, with real dangers and real concequences.
