I have been wrestling with the Toolset for about 10 hours now, and something just isn't working out.

Can anyone tell me (step by step) how to change the equipped items of existing NPC's that they are wearing, hell, or just let them walk around in their underwear.

for instance: when you are fighting the Redcliffe battle, you can convince Lloyd to help out. BUT that **** dies when getting farted on, so is there a way to give him some decent armor?
( I know there are some mods to make him invincible, but that's not the point, I'd want to know how to do this myself)
