I was wondering if Vanguards can use Assault Rifles? Also are they doing the same system where when you get a weapon/skill achievement you can use it on other classes when you start a new character? I read up on all ME2 updates and don't remember this being touched on.
Vanguard/Gameplay question for ME2.

Nope. Vanguards can only use water guns.

The other classes can learn to use other weapons. How and when is something the Dev team hasn't told us.

dunno if that count as a talent tho, it will be pretty sweet to get a 'talent" you don't need to spend points on.

I thought they did away with all weapon talents, each class now has a set weapons list they can use, atleast thats what it looks like from the vids. That live play through the devs did they started a new mission and Vanguards could only use pistols and shotguns along with the heavy weapon.
