So the quarians can take their suits off when they are on t heir own ships right?  I am just wondering since when you read about them it says they always have them on but it is since they live in a controled climat on their ships.  So on thier ships they have normal clothes on right?

Yes they can take their suits off on the Flotilla. Will they in ME2? we have to wait and see.

The flotilla is pretty much the only place where it's reasonably safe, but they often don't, even there, unless they have to. The flotilla's the only place where the option is available, but they don't often take it.

Well, normal for them perhaps.

But not necessarily. Shepard and crew don't ever wear "normal" clothes.

I think they might be able to, However If you get on the ship i'm sure they'd have to keep them on. Seeing as they cannot completely sterilized Shepard and whoever you bring to the Migrant Fleet will bring contaminants, and Infections, stuff that is harmless to us, but deadly to the Quarians because of their weak immune system.

even on the ships they still wear them mainly becuase its a physoligal barrier due to lack of privacy aboard the ships but some areas they do take them off mainly for romantic and such and they keep them on due to the threat of hull breaches on there old and aging ships

if your really interested in Quarians read Mass Effect: Ascension by Drew Karpyshyn, most of what you ask is answered there. How they live on the flotilla, what their quarters are like, the suits all are made clear...

Eer, wrong quote. Give me a sec to fix. --- There we go, fixed.

This is untrue. The writers have posted that Quarians, for the most part, have little to fear from other species when it comes to infections and the like. Their chilarity is completely different from all but the Turians, and even if they caught, say the Turian flu, it would just make them miserable for a few days and not kill them.

I don't have the link on hand, I'm sure you could pop into the Tali thread (They're going nuts since through streaming they have apparently confirmed a Talimance) and ask them to supply you with the quote from the Dev concerning this.

Wearing their suits has become a cultural thing for the quarians. The suits are the only real boundary they have, given the confined spaces of their ships and proximity of so many people.

Also, contrary to popular belief, quarians can't be affected by human diseases. Turians and quarians are two races that have physiologies unique to Citadel space. I believe they have different protein structures, or something. This means that an Earth virus like H1N1 wouldn't even know how to attack a turian or quarian body.

It also says they feel more comfortable leaving them on

But these people in these forums could argue with a wall and convince themselves that they won. I suggest you come to your own conclusions.

They look like chickens underneath their suits. Look at Tali's legs... they are backwards and have chicken feet.

They aren't backwards, but they are decidedly different from say, a humans. And I can't argue the chicken feet comment, given that is exactly why she wasn't a romance option in part one. The real question that's been nagging at me is who, out of the devs, actually said this.

Chickens have three toes, and Tali has two. THAT IS EXACTLY THE SAME NUMBER OF TOES! The public school system has clearly been unkind to you, ser.
