i never even shoot anybody when driving in the mako. just drive by them all. stopping and sitting to kill all those collosi and primes isnt a good idea in the mako. just fly right by them. i do it all the time onj insanity and i dont remember the lasst time i died in the nmako while driving acroos the skyway, or on therum, or driving on noveria. put the petal to the metal!

I got that horizon angle worked out just creep forward but you definitely have to use the range andshoot from a distance otherwise bye bye.

I am with you, I have a lot of trouble with the witcher and crysis, both I have never played very far cause I do not like having to sit up to keyboard and use both it and mouse. I made an effort cause I really like the story and the graphics, Suppose it is total immersion and I have smoked 75% less

I agree with you about this overuse of Mako when you have to spend so much time suiting up, upgrading armor etc and spend all your time in a vehicle but what can you do, 'cept grin and bear it. I mean why can't you walk and have the Normandy back you up from rogue space ships and Armatures, it can fly in the atmosphere is the fastes shipt out there and has the best pilot! I know that it does take part at the end I have watched a video clip which by the way made feel quite intimidated with all that switcherooing with weapons etc, I have enough trouble with one.
Still I am playing thru for the story and the experience just feel the nromal setting is over the top and as for the other settings like nightmare it is hard to believe its possible.
But then I am still fumbling around the keyboard which has seen little use even playing hadrcore nwn1 &2 and even dao .
Do any of you know if a game controller or joystick could be used?

I think controllers are not supported. Which doesn't mean they don't work, but does mean you won't get any help trying to make it work.
As far as the Mako goes, for most battle the easy way to do it is to engage at extreme range with the scope zoomed in. Then only minor movements will let you dodge missiles and the blue energy balls which are the only things you really have to worry about. Also know that you can just tap the jump jets to 'hop' over incoming missiles without moving horizontally.

yes I keep forgetting about the spacebar, usually its pause and esc , well thats not wise in most games.
I did use the jets to jump over a wrecked vehicle on the skyway, and tried to take the wrong path up the mt and onlly succeeded in turning turtle back down again. Very twitchy touchy vehicle much better on the snows of Novaria. finally got to top speed and had a ball. I got turned around and found myself back at the port after I had cleared almost the whole way so the return trip was great.
