Oh and Guaritor that is just minimizing as the gain is still the same.
That depends... you can spend points on persuasion earlier on, perhaps opening up some dialogue otherwise unavailable to you, or at least spend points on persuasion without worrying about leaving combat talents behind.
It definatley has its advantages.

There is no persuasion skill. Persuasion is based on the Negotiation bonus you get from passive class ability and your Paragon/Renegade meter will allow you to pick the harder paragon and Renegade choice ie Saren at the end of ME. If you were talking about boosting the class talent then I agree.

I think the best thing to do is stop whining untill there's a confirmation from BioWare or someone who beat the game.

I would have rather started at level one.

I didn't expect a huge boost but perhaps 2 more skill points on character creation for level 60's and 1 for 50's.

Something like that would be allot better then levels, yes.

How long does it take to gain 5 levels? That's really the crux of the benefit one would get from a level 60 character import - you save the time it would take you to gain 5 levels; that's all it is. Bioware has "permanently" saved you ~2 hours of gameplay.
From the one sneak peek playthrough I've been looking through looks like 2-3 hours of gameplay gets you to about that level.

A slight difference in semantics, but yes, i did mean the passive class skills.

Does anyone know how much money you get with the rich achievement? A message would be appreciated.
150,000 starting credits.
omg...I did 3 completionist playthroughs and have a lvl 50 Shepard.
I had hundreds of BILLIONS of credits.
I had enough money to buy Cerberus and hire a French Maid with enough left over for a small planet or two.
Are you saying that wont transfer to the other game?

Everyone capped their money out at some point in their playthroughs because the inventory system sucked. If they had all of your money carry through, you would effectively be able to buy everything in the game using your starting money. (Unless you were buying star systems or something.)
In that case, gameplay mechanics wise, every shop would have effectively just been a pile of free items. This would ruin any gameplay purposes that money exists in games to fulfil. (IE, to encourage players to spend time doing things that get them money, and to give the player a sense of progression after spending time doing those things.)
By giving us a small calculated bonus, bioware gives us something for having a lot of money in the previous game, while still allowing money to have a meaning in our playthrough.
The level 60 complaint makes even less sense to me. You get a starting bonus that evens out with the new players in the endgame. But, it makes is way easier to get the level 30 achievement, which is nice.
Also, several people in this thread have have hinted that you get something else for being 60 besides the money and bonus levels, so we'll have to wait and see about that.
