No. Unique powers are:

Adept: Singularity

Engineer: Combat Drone

Infiltrator: Cloak

Sentinel: Tech Armor

Soldier: Adrenalin Rush

Vanguard: Charge

From what I understand, you can probably learn just about any other ability. Other than those. I could be wrong, they've been vague so far. But those are definite no-nos.

You also can't use an LMG unless you're a soldier. Some (maybe all) classes can learn assault rifles. But only soldiers can use the LMG.

I assume the OP means the bonus talents you can get from unlocking certain achievements. If that ISN'T what the OP means, then just ignore me.

I doubt the bonus talents work the same way they did in ME1. If they do, well that's fine, I suppose. But I'd honestly prefer to see something new.

I wonder if slam can be combo'd with Pull/Lift.

:D

Besides the obvious though. Is it basically just Throw on steroids? Maybe an anti-Lift, slams people into the ground?

In today's interview with Jesse @ Direct2Drive's facebook voicechat the same question was posed. The answer (roughly) indicated the following:

~ New Game + (same char, new game) unlocks 'added' abilities

~ In game through character progression and research there will be new abilities.

~ Squadmates have unlockable abilities through loyalty

How exactly, and which abilities exactly is still not unveiled.

Squadmates have 4 abilties each, and one of them is unique to them. :wizard:

Everytime I read something from a person using the Wrex avatar, I can just hear Wrex reading this out loud for me in my head.

Also, what about weapon restrictions?  Can my Engineer learn to specialize in Assault Rifle training?  Or is that even relevant anymore?

We have conflicting views on the whole training thing. Christina said you can learn it later through certain unknown means but LMG is class locked for soldier. Jesse basically said she was wrong and you never get assault rifles.

I think what Christina meant was the SMG's progress to the point of functioning like an assault rifle, but i have seen no indictation that Christina should be taken literally (for once).

I'm aware of that, I'm merely relaying what I heard at the interview. The eventual unlocking of the 'max unique ability' that will give you the specialization choice may be dependent on loyalty, at least, that's what I'm assuming based on the currently provided info.

I really want my Soldier to learn Biotic Powers or change to an Adept and learn how to use Shotguns and Assault rifles. By learn, I mean I want them to use them well not like in ME1 where it had a reticle the size of a tank. :P

So... can we learn normal powers like pull? right?
