[UNSC Spartan-II]

Hi everyone.

 

I really like Quarians and the Geth and I'd like to which ones are the most effective in multiplayer and why. Give an order from one to however many of that species you can play as in multiplayer showing which ones you think are the best, and the least best (or in some people's case, the worst). I've only got the Geth Juggernaut and the Female Quarian Infiltrator at the moment, I'm not going for too many Reserves Packs. I personally love using them both and would happy to unlock and use the others eventually.

In my opinion, a ranking of them would go something like this (more than one in a number means they are tied)...

 

1) Geth Infiltrator

2) Male Quarian Infiltrator and Engineer

3) Geth Trooper

4) Female Quarian Infiltrator, Geth Engineer and Geth Juggernaut

5) Female Quarian Engineer and Male Quarian Marksman

 

None of them are bad kits and the GI is the best kit in the game.

GI > QME > GT > GE > QMI ~ QFI ~ QFE > QMS ~ GJ

 

Geth Infiltrator is probably the most effective character in terms of weapon damage. Geth Trooper has a really devastating Flamer, but also works great as a pure weapon platform. Geth Engineer is also really nice and makes headshots pretty easy with HM and Overload. The Juggernaut is a bit boring in my opinion (especially its Heavy Melee), but can make tons of Fire Explosions with Incindiary Ammo and Siege Pulse.

 

I would say that the QME is the best Quarian character, because he can make tons of tech bursts. QMI, QMS, QFE and QFI are all fine. Different weapons and builds will change your playstyle with them, so it is a bit difficult to say which one is better.

QMI>QME>GI>QMS>GE>FQI>JUGGY>FQE>GTS

1.GI, of course.

2.QMI

4.QME

5.GE

6.QFI

7.QMS

8.FQE

Did I miss anyone? I really like playing with all of kits and think they're all effective. Especially the jiggly Quarians    .

They're all awesome. Some of the easiest characters to step up to harder difficulties with.

GI > QME/GT > QMI > GE > Juggy > QFI/QFE

 

These are my choices, as far as effectiveness goes, although I'd say that to start the QME/GT are the easiest to use. FE's with QME and Flamer w/ GT are Gold easymode. 

 

Having said that, all are pretty good kits, I just don't play as well w/ some of them as other people do

So is there a difference between the Male and Female Quarians and why would the Male be preferred over the Female in some of your opinions?

I know not a lot about the QFE, she is effective against armor b/c Incinerate and Cryo Blast, Inc b/c it deals direct damage and Cryo Blast b/c it gives a great debuff for the entire team.

 

The QME is one of the best kits in the game, you get Incinerate for damage on bosses plus Arc Grenades, which can be used to create Fire Explosions and deal heavy damage to bosses, and the same is true for crowds, you can spec Arc nades into a 10.4m radius, and that's radius, not diameter, so it's great for crowd control. The other great power from the QME is Tactical Scan, which allows you to increase the damge dealt to the target of the scan, so it's useful for bosses as well.

 

His passives are decent and w/ 4 points in fitness you get 750/900, so again, the QME is one of the best kits in the game. Crowd control, FE's, boss-killing, decent health/shields, 1 package.

Although this does not reflect an objective ranking but, rather, my personal preferences.

The male and female Quarians have different powers and amounts of shields. They are unique kits from each other, not like the male and female default humans.

The Male Quarians are prefered, because all but one of them have Arc Grenades. These Grenades are really powerfull, especially against shields and large groups of smaller enemies. Additionally all Male Quarians have Tactical Scan, although I am not that much of a huge fan of that ability.

This whole rating thing, it's kind of meaningless. Sure, you can boil everything down to pure statistics and then the GI with a hurricane "wins" because it has a higher DPS than god, but does that make it the "best" character?

 

I enjoy playing the FQI more than any other Geth or Quarian. I give her a Javelin and run around sniping things. Its a lot of fun. She doesn't have the highest DPS (even with reload cancelling, because it takes me a while to find and/or switch targets). She doesn't have insane grenades (even if I remember that I even have sticky grenades). She can't suck the life out of a Phantom. She's not even a very high scoring character. But she's still my favourite among those two races.

 

It's all very subjective.

Some high-DPS kits just aren't very fun (lookin' at you, flamer GT), but I find the GI not only OP as hell, but really fun to play. What is there NOT to love about zipping around a map killing everything that moves? Claymoaring a Scion through a wall? Getting a killstreak with your melee? Killing three mooks with one Javelin shot? 

 

But yeah, you're right that effective=/= fun, and "best" is entirely subjective, which is why the question is sort of nonsensical, and why GI is really the only possible answer (since he's still the best regardless of what "best" means in any given context  )

These are what people think. I didn't ask for the best character, I asked what everyone thinks is the best character so I'd get a variety of opinions. It so happens that most people like the Geth Infiltrator. I agree that the Female Quarian Infiltrator is real fun, I used to spend ages playing as her and I loved it, no matter how many points I got.
