 Music wise whilst we watch Shepard "die" at first..

Im hoping for something like A Wing and a Prayer from Armageddon or maybe the song from the trailer, that worked well too!

Something sci-fi, by which I mean something that would fit in with the music from the menu screen from Mass Effect 1. Music that isn't mainstream now (and not 'nu-metal' or any other mainstream alternative) and has a very alienesque feel to it.
