You know, I already knew, so I don't mind as much, but it's because of nonchalant spoiler posts like these that I know so much about the climax of Dragon Age without actually having finished it. I know it's hard for you, Kalfear, but in the future, try and think before you post.

With DA:O the Ultimate Sacrifice was the most emotionally satisfying of the endings. I wouldn't be surprised if ME2 was similar (although maybe not, that depends a lot on ME3 I guess).

I realize that this is the spoiler-free forum, but I rather doubt this counts as a spoiler.  That information is stuff that was released to the public months ago.  It isn't like he stated something new.

Back on topic, I am in fact going to see that ending.  Just not on my first playthrough.

Edit: Just checked the topic Chris placed at the top of the forum.  This is definetly not a spoiler.  All info released by Bioware via interviews or the website is open game.

I'm sure I will on one playthrough, but people are saying no like they know how to avoid it. Maybe doing everything 100% paragon and been a good guy means you die, we don't know yet. You might have to be selfish to avoid death.

I intend to eventually do one playthrough where everyone dies, assuming that's possible, just to see what that's like. My initial playthrough will be as close to perfect completion as I can get though.

I think I'll just go through my first playthrough more-or-less blind and then try for saving everyone/letting Shepard die in a later one.

Whenever I play any RPG on my first playthrough, I would not refer to guides etc and I would just make the choices most sensible to me, which lead my grey warden to death in DA:O.



Who knows? My Shepard might die...

Probably at some point, probably not on my first playthrough though. The character I'm gonna play first is my Renegade and its highly unlikely that she would sacrifice herself unless it was the most viable option to completing the mission. However, if if the mission required a sacrifice she would send her most trusted crew member to die because they would have the most likely chance of success and have her trust to get the job done.
