Almost all my PC's fall into true neutral/Lawful evil, basically I am very pragmatic.

Most of my "canon" characters before my warden (true neutral) were neutral good. For DAI, I'll probably start with neutral good and see if it fits. I've tried playing neutral good in DAO but something felt off for me.

i plan multiple PTs :D

first PT is always the most important imho. i think the my PC's alignment will depend on the narrative. it usually does. i'll start it as true neutral.

my first Warden was lawful evil in the end

my first Hawke turned out to be chaotic good

I hope the game would let me do whatever I want instead of locking me into one narrow route.
If the game has a choice of choosing evil/good, then it's usually the case that you don't get to act good once in awhile when you're evil, and don't get to kill when you're following good.

I don't want that linear system. What I want to do is act nice in general, but allowed to kill/punish those that get on my nerves.

Definitely lawful neutral. Ensuring that the laws and traditions of Thedas are enforced is a priority, moral considerations are a distant second.

I think a Lawful Neutral approach seems the most appropriate for the Inquisitor.

I disagree, the only true alignment of any Lawful Inquisitor is...

I don't subscribe to these notions at all.

I roll play my characters not on deeds but motivations.

as such things such as "theft" and "murder" become complete different concepts based on my character.

I've never understood half terms of character alignment, so to suggest one would only lead to people saying "thats not, that, thats, this"

Furthermore I found with DA:2 i couldnt full explore such motivations and different perspectives, I felt i pushed in a certain direction and as such refined my "cannon" to a mindset which was more palatable and didn't find disconnects with many characters.

so im aware even with the motivations i want they will shift as the story shapes things, my hawke went from protecting his apostate sister to supporting the templars and distrusting almost all mages.

so his character alignment shifted radically from starting out doing the "right thing" to being a best morally flexible to and at worst an outright zealot, despite my intentions to keep him on the straight and narrow i felt a solid disconnect in attempting to do so.

Unless when I start playing Inquisition I suddenly adopt an entirely different philosophy I'll likely be playing a Lawful Good type character. It's how I always seem to end up playing RPGs for the first time even if I try to be bad.

The only exception was when I played SWTOR, and that's because I was playing a Sith Warrior.

My first playthrough is always Lawful Good. After that, I'll see where I want to take things.

I would go for holy warrior who believe in order and good. Seeking knowledge and truth, improving the world as best as I can so  in the end its a better place with less suffering.
