I would like to see some non-het/cis* things going on among atmospheric and tertiary characters

 

like I think mass effect 2/3 are still the only places they've ever shown same sex couples not involving protagonist, and even that is only because of asari. 

 

heteronormativity is only challenged in warped-space bubble around an hero

 

*also any non-cis thing that is not there just to be exploited for shock humor

Origins had a major plot hook on a gay couple, Branka and Hespith and I really loved those whole plot. Da2 I don't think had anything like that, a few vague mentions of past relationships maybe

I've had otherwise intelligent (maybe?) people try to explain the supposed necessity of depicting straightfolks to me a lot of times and it has never made sense

 

its just something that hurts nobody to exclude

why would people need to get up in arms about it

I wish they just did what they did in da2 and made everyone bisexual for the sake of convenience over all else. I can't trust bioware to make a valid point on how to classify sexual identities or whatever

it's a really gay stereotype heavy show made for queer people and the focus is on gay there is literally nothing outside of gay and it's rly problematic bc it pushes being gay as One True Identity and fails to be realistic or to show gay people in normal situations at all and is really weird and obvious

 

but i loved it in high school i'd watch it with my best friend who hadn't come out yet
