I really liked iron bull's ability, the spinning axe of death thing. Makes me excited for my 2-handed wielding lady dorf

Anyway, most of that demo looked good.

 

On the other hand, Prinze's Iron Bull voice sounds kinda dumb and confirms my earlier suspicion that they should have gotten a more natural bass or at least baritone to do it.

they aren't gonna race-gate elves. That would defeat the purpose of elves

 

Varric remains a good candidate. 

 

I could see Josephine or Vivienne (if she is romanceable), as they both have to worry about ~image in a major way and banging dorfs, elves or qunari could be scandalous

dorian might refuse to bang qunari. 

 

Anyway, I don't think they would both race-gate and gender-gate the same character, so my money's on whoever any remaining bisexual options are.

I didn't think they would make a bald not-that-attractive elf either, but after today it can only get more unpredictable

They did say that race gating would only be for ~narrative~ purposes, so it's sort of possible that Solas won't bang humans.

They mentioned in her interview that Josephine loves all genders and races, so not gated at all really

I dunno about Vivienne since race gating might make her seem more picky and high maintenance than she already is??? People don't respond well to that. Does make sense lore wise though.

Can't see Blackwall with anybody and he's dying but who knows???

Might as well be playing slots with how these romancible odds are turning out

I think "this one species only" would be a bit *too* restrictive

 

And anyway I'm not sure varric would be gated at all, despite the "I'm not into humans," line. It's Varric. Varric fibs all the time.

 

In general none of these species are really inhuman enough for me to buy a "well, I'm just not attracted to X race" kind of deal. 

 

It's not like it's the difference between humans and turians or something.

 

It's the difference between

humans, 

short, sturdy humans

lithe, pointy-eared humans

big humans with horns

 

we have been watching lady qunari inquisitor and she is just a tallish hot lady with cute horns. I would not buy, say, Cullen or Blackwall or whoever going "sorry babe but I'm just not attracted to ~qunari chicks, My dick is all "no way" whenever I look at em": without him looking like kind of a dipshit. 

 

So I would expect some sort of politicized rationale for any race-gating.
