He's way more straightforward that celene but also somehow more likable. It's weird
And he's a chevalier and has that overbearing concept of honor in the strangest situations. Like it was "tactics" to start a coup but murdering an opponent when they're helpless is wrong. That kind of nonsense
On the issues of elves and mages he's way more conservative than she is

Like, her answer to all political problems and not-problems is to kill them all without any real thought
I didn't read so I dunno really. Knowing their track record with loghain, orsino, meredith they might have intended for celene to be a morally grey character but suck too much to write corruption in a convincing way

Well she did send briala as a spy there first and was only forced to put down the rebellion as a show of force bc she was getting political heat left and right.
As I said I really oversimplified things to just sum up why she's a jerk
And yep, Rossini and Meredith just got swiped under the rushed release blanket, but loghain was a somewhat sympathetic character in gaider's book. Too bad it didn't translate into the game apart from spending time on chatting him up after landsmeet if he gets spared

I suspect people will treat Orlesian Civil War as a redux of Anora vs Alastair vs Loghain 

 

which is erroneous because Anora was great, Alastair was useless and Loghain was evil, which made it obvious what the best choices were, there.

Yep, that's what I'm thinking too. What I'm hoping for is a neutral path or last least some way to give the city elves more rights, and to take the nobles down a peg or two. Or a chance to get rid of The Game itself. Knowing Bioware they'll try to put Celene in a sympathetic light.

The best thing out of this recent news is the outcry that Bioware is screwing the straight guys over. It is vastly entertaining. After ME3, I say it is about time the ladies got something to enjoy. Though the "extra" LI content should of been put towards expanding the original ones.
