I hear you get important plot points via banter.  It actually kinda annoys me because I can't have my volume up most of the time.  It's also reminiscent of the "overhear" quests from ME3

 could you use closed captioning?

I like it. Plays really differently than past games. Kind of reminds me of mmos. I don't like how tactical view works.

i just played 10 hours of it. so far, it's really good. a really big time waster especially with the open world-ish levels

they did a great job with character dialogue this time around. 

 

i really like sera's weirdness. cole is cool too in a surprising way. dorian should talk more. josie is kind of boring. solas is definitely the coolest one. 

 

everyone else is as expected i guess

lots of people looking down on you and high angles. it's also satisfying to talk to varric and harding with a leveled camera

I love all the companions except for Sera, she gets on my nerves. I'll be working on my dwarf character next, she'll be romancing Iron Bull. Gotta ride the Bull.

sera is actually one of my favorites. but her intro does needs less breaches 

 

i wish party banter was more frequent. in the 20+ hours i spent on it, i think i heard 3 party conversations? a miserable rate.

Banter conversations is bugged, but the devs are looking into fixing the problem.

Yeah, it has a ton of bugs. I think I average about 5 game freezes and 1 game crash a sitting. They could optimize the graphics settings more too, lots of texture pop ins.

I saved Hawke over Stroud and kicked the Wardens out of Orlais. Kept Blackwall.

Yeah I heard! Stroud is really just a replacement for Warden Alistair. If I had Alistair in my playthrough the choice would've been 10x harder.

Alistair or Loghain, depending on your decisions.
If I ever get Inquisition, I'll have to choose between Hawke and Alistair as I kept him a warden lmao
