the inquisitor trailer wasn't so bad either i didn't get "gather faction" vibes from it
i really hope they're not doing that again

from the way ive seen gaider react to all of it over the years, I doubt theyll all be romancable like in DA2
I could never understand how people would argue about all this..
Why is it a bad thing to have every character romancable irrregardless of what sex you pick? Its just a stupid cheesey romance, why care about how merril relates to real world sexuality? Its not good, shes not real, what does it matter...
People have to make these so weird all for the sake of their own headcannons and etc

Posté 25 avril 2014 - 03:34
i've seen gaider defending the DA2 scheme but i also have a feeling they'll drop it in DAI
i can't really explain
there was a dev's quote saying it'll be more "realistic"with romance
it could mean anything really but i'm just associating "realistic" with people being unhappy with unrealistic bisexuals in their game
expectations aren't super high

whats the deal with that anyway?
i don't want realistic romances i want a gushy romance with less crap

Posté 25 avril 2014 - 11:36
with a realistic romance most of all people are gonna get dumped anyhow

i wish i could be more enthusiastic for this game since it looks so incredibly good. but i can't bring myself to care for the lore. It's the most boring and uninteresting out of all the bioware games to date

Gaider has been reading a lot of Updike lately, Inquisitor ends up trapped by a combination of misplaced duty, apathy and fiscal necessity in a loveless marriage for 22 years and then moves in with the cashier at a local bread store, scandalizing all of Thedas

i like the grey wardens
but its not acutally that good lore
i just like hardened millitary orders that have people from shady walks of life

what settings' lore do you guys like?
#93
Posté 26 avril 2014 - 07:16
the last setting i really loved was like
planescape multiverse maybe
i'm so old and grumpy
dragon age setting isn't doing much for me tbh
the whole system of demons just feels really boring and contrived and not very impressive
i wish they had more pirates instead
i like qunari too but they might get lame when elaborated on more

elder scrolls lore is cool because i don't get it most of the time ![]()

really by the time you get morrigan, it doesnt really matter that you are a grey warden
im so tired of all these orders and titles contrived to make the pc significant and unaccountable for his actions
same crap with the inquisitor probably

Posté 26 avril 2014 - 09:59
yep
i think being a part/a leader of any organisation just asks for a different gameplay
it would logically fit a strategy game more cause a super important head of grey wardens or whatever running around killing **** themselves is just not plausible if you think of it too hard
so it's either making the game not-rpg or making a protag some lowly member which wouldn't please the player's ego enough i guess?

i really enjoyed the kotor lore from the first two games. its probably not bad in swtor but i havent gone that far in the storylines
i thought the da lore had some potential with the first game. i really liked the religious backstory with andraste and how it was incorporated into the ashes quest. it went really downhill from da2 though when it became a generic quest for freedom with the mages. a lot of it was really incoherent for me
#99
Posté 27 avril 2014 - 07:01
you can play it as a generic quest for oppression! muhahaha
but no it's still anders' little drama show weh
