What was wrong with the Fade that wasn't wrong with the rest of the game?
The only reason why I used the Fade Skip mod was the random bugging out that would happen. I had an entire character (kept reloading older and older saves and replaying through) that was bugged during that sequence. I'd play until I'd get the Wrath form. I'd transform and BOOM! crash to desktop. I said "Screw it" and got the mod.
I plan on playing the games again in the summer around the time that E3 comes out. That way I have the games fresh in my mind without just going by fan reactions. I'll have a better idea of what I'm going to do next. I'm just holding off until E3 and we have a much more concrete idea of what Inquisition is going to be like.
I'm finally doing a Merrillmance, which I hadn't done before. (I romanced Anders like 17 times, no exaggeration). But I do have one last DA:O game to play with a human Nobel male I plan on marrying Anora. I haven't decided whether to romance Zevran or Leliana in the meantime. But, that's probably gonna be my last playthrough and then I'll import that to DA2 and do my usual.

Forced to play it solo + very boring surroundings. The rest of the game had variety of sorts.
For me, it was the puzzle aspect and backtracking. And fireball-throwing mages who kept knocking down my Warden every few seconds.
Mind you, I think the Deep Roads were worse: caves are the most monotonous environments by far. I feel pretty much all the levels and dungeons could have been shorted by about a third. But only the Fade had as annoying a puzzle sequence.

It's weird, I liked the Fade except for the blur effects. That hurt my eyes after a few. I actually enjoyed the Deep Roads, though I agree that they were monotonous. I just found them atmospheric once I hit the Dead Trenches. Like any minute a darkspawn was just waiting around the corner for me to let down my guard.
Since I know they've worked on a Fade sequence (David even talked about it on his blog, mentioning a weird mind rape-y scene that was slightly rewritten) we'll end up back there. The Deep Roads seem like a very likely place as well. Hopefully, for all of our sakes, they make the Fade less painful on the eyes and the Deep Roads a little less boring. Since we're not going to the Deep Roads during/just after a Blight, it stands to reason that it'll be more lively this time.
I tend to delete finished games, so while I have played and finished a lot of run throughs I have no saves... yes I'm an idiot. So I am rebuilding my 3 canon plays from scratch to get them "right" before DA:I.
Just finished my DA:O fem city elf rouge/DA2 rouge (sassy), half way through my DA:O fem human mage/D2 mage (pro circle/strictly moral) and will soon start my DA:O human noble warrior/ DA2 warrior (entitled arse/sleeps with everyone), I will try to make that one male but I don't have much hope it will stick.
So to answer the question yes... 3 times over.

I'll probably run through Origins as DA2 is rubbish, but there is really no need with Keep coming out.
Eh I've got my canon as well as about 40 other complete playthroughs of both DAO/DAA and DA2 so I have everything covered if I can import. However, I've only played Witch Hunt and Golems a handful of times.
This is also my line of thinking behind doing a full run of both games. I'm also planning on reading all novels and comics again.I think its still good to have it all fresh in your mind though to ;-) even if we can't import directly into the keep
Replaying both as we speak. Don't know if I'll actually finish either of them... to be honest I've only ever played the entire way through ONCE for both games. I've restarted with a couple new characters and just end up stopping about halfway through.
Mmm. Skip the Fade mod is friggin' awesome.
Does the skip fade mod still reward you with the xp you would normally gain?
I just finished a total replay this evening. I used a female Hawke rogue, whoa was she ever a beotch.

Yes. And all the codexes and ability points.
I'm going to eventually redo all my characters to refresh my memory. I'll end up redoing my rogue like a month before it comes out. Playing previous titles is also the only way to keep me sane at the one month mark.
Again? No, thanks.
I've completed several playthroughs, but the sole idea of once again going through the Fade, the Deep Roads or the mess the dungeons in DA2 cause inside my brain simply puts me off.
Dear DA:O/DA2: I love you, but maybe we need to start seeing other people.
Replace step 4 with --->Install Skip the Fade mod
It's really the only thing that makes the experience somewhat tolerable anymore *pours a 40 for all the console players out there*
I welcome all enhancements to rid players of such painful tedium
currently playing as sarcastic Hawke.
I'm sure I will probably playthrough both games at least 2 maybe 3 more times before DAI is released.
I won't go through DAO again any time soon - after nine runs, I really am done with it. At least for a few years. (My ninth run was the first one where I found myself thinking 'can we just get this part over with?' more often than not.)
I'll go through DA2 once more, though, which will make eight play throughs in total for that. Still looking forward to it - after I finished the last one, I was tempted to plunge straight back in and do it all again, but I'm holding off until shortly before DAI hits. It should be a nice warm up.

Yes it does!
You still actually have to go into the fade and meet each of your companions and deal with their nightmares, but all the rest of the BS is gone.
Skip the fade and nice hairstyles are the only reason I sometimes feel jealous of pc users. (I generally prefer my consoles and dislike gaming on my computer.) The fade is a pain in the ass, especially if you're not playing a mage with mana clash.
Easily my least favourite thing about DAO (bless it) were the fillertastic dungeons. I dreaded the werewolves lair, fade, and deep roads every time. Even in spite of DA2's recycled ass dungeons, one inkling of credit I can give them is that they could be dealt with rather quickly.
Then again, I was never fond of dungeons in general (outside of Golden Sun; those were ****** awesome)

That's sort of what I was getting at. I don't see why the Fade is more worth of a skip than a bunch of other places. But yeah, puzzle sequences aren't for everyone.
I'm finishing up characters from DAO and taking them through all of the dlc and then on into DA2 to get ready for DA:I. I have a few more to go, and then I'm done.
