I have beaten both 10+ times by now I have no need to keep beating it. I will just use the keep.

Skip the fade and nice hairstyles are the only reason I sometimes feel jealous of pc users. (I generally prefer my consoles and dislike gaming on my computer.) The fade is a pain in the ass, especially if you're not playing a mage with mana clash.
As a rogue the Fade wasn't too bad. When it comes to mods, my very first one was the No Helmet hack. <hugs to console players> At least they added an in-game toggle in DA2 and it's a safe bet that they will do it again for DA: I

I expect I will return to DAO as long as I can get it to run on my computer.
But I'll likely never install DA2 again.

I occasionally change around my mods just to keep things interesting. I have about a dozen or so installed. I also use console commands for areas in DAO where I don't really want to spend a lot of time battling. I find the whole Jarvia storyline much easier to play through with "killallhostiles".

Huh. I found her very easy and fun to spring her own traps against her. It does a fair amount of damage. Go rogue and try that. It worked well for me. ![]()

I think I have finished Awakening and Witch Hunt only once. I might play those + DA2 to refresh my memory about the lore etc, before DA:I comes out.

Pro tip, if you play a mage in DA2. Force tree plus Elemental= the Arishok can't move. Blood magic is a good replacement for Elemental, provided you are comfortable using it.

Thanks for the tip. I just might play a mage, actually - mostly because I don`t remember much about Carver. The playthrough will be purely for freshing up on lore etc, so I will probably play on casual.

If you run on PC, let me know. I use some wonderful armor and weapon mods that can bump you up to Hard without forcing too much of a sweat.
Oh and they look great too.

I might try one last run through, I keep running into the issue of boredom during Human Noble Origin. I restarted about fours times now and I have yet to get through it.
I usually go with Dalish or City Elf which has a good mix of fighting and Dialogue, Human Noble mainly only dialogue until last five minutes.

I thought the dwarf origins kind of dragged out, to be honest - and the mage one.

The first time I was able to get into DA:O was the Casteless Dwarf. The human one seemed a little bland, the noble dwarf and mage did drag on for too long and I couldn't get engaged with either of the elf origins to start. However, Casteless was my favorite. It's the ultimate rags to riches story and what's more, it's pretty fun to go back to Orzammar a Grey Warden. Plus, if you go rogue and are careful with your dialogue selections, you can pickpocket the city and walk away with some decent change.

I loved human and dwarf noble ones best, mainly because of how they tied into the plot. Though, my first time through, I played City Elf. (And when Alistair dumped me at the end, I was so shocked and upset.)

I'm on my second-ever DA2 playthrough right now. Then I'll wrap my half-finished DAO game and play that save through DA2.

True that. Being able to take revenge on Howe later felt very satisfactory.
I can`t shake the feeling that the Dalish origin story might be tied to something alot bigger, though.

I can imagine. I went for Zevran with my first character. She was fun loving, playful and a little amoral. Zevran was a great fit. I haven't been able to romance him since though. I haven't entirely been able to get back into that mindset. When I do my replay of Origins in June, I'll have to go Casteless again. Since I'm playing a dwarf in the next game, this is a great time to refresh my knowledge dwarven lore.
When I finally did my first mage run, I had no problem making Alistair a solo ruler and becoming his mistress/possible Court Mage. ![]()

I went back and played the Dalish one all the way through just a few months back to see how it impacted DA2. I think we might get more irt the eluvian in this upcoming game.

Between the Dalish origins, Witch Hunt and DA2, I think we'll see more of the eluvian in the future. I also remember a dev mentioning that Merrill fixing the mirror was "a very bad thing." For those that are going to set the flags to allow her to do so, I think it could have an impact.

I'm doing a DA:O play through: Dalish elf dual wield warrior, romance Leliana, Alistair king, and Loghain's ultimate sacrifice
) Not sure if I'm going to play DA 2 again though. I hate that one with a burning passion :/

I did all the romances in DA:O, actually. In part to get the achievements on the xbox. I don`t remember what characters I used to romance Leliana or Morrigan, but I had a female dwarf romance Alistair, and a male mage romance Zevran.
If a story hooks me, I do try to milk it for every possible variation or bit of information.

Morrigan had a functional Eluvian too. So if Merril fixing one was a very bad thing....
