Morrigan had a functional Eluvian too. So if Merril fixing one was a very bad thing....

I wouldn't equate one with the other though.  Merrill used blood mage to cleanse the shards (an act that makes me lift an eyebrow) of an eluvian tainted by Darkspawn.  The one Morrigan found might have been tainted, but we saw no evidence of that.  More importantly, it was still intact and still functional.  I find it unlikely that both of the mirrors are Tainted, though it's not out of the realm of possibility.

True enough. I only played Witch Hunt once, so I am not the best source of information on that story.

I'd recommend it when you redo Origins.  It's pretty short and I found it really neat.

I'm on the fence about playing Origins again, since I have a "perfect" playthrough for my human noble and don't really have the patience to do that again, but I'll probably play Awakenings again so I can defeat the broken quest problem that I had on my first run and then Witch Hunt, and a fresh playthrough of DA2.

Witch Hunt was cool. Its companions really surprised me. I would love to see them again someday. I think I may have theorized in my playthrough thread that they might show up in 2.

Sad they didn't!

I will only be replaying the DAO DLC (Awakening, Witch Hunt, & the Golem one" since I already replayed DAO and DA2 last year.

Finally got through Human Noble Origins after my fifth try and happy with the outcome. I kept zoning out in my previous tries and keep missing what everyone said. I knew their was a reason why I rarely played HN origin. HN is boring.

This will likely be the last time I go through Dragon Age games on last gen system. Bring on Inquisition on PS4.

I've played both games many, many times already, but recently I have been thinking that it's about time to do another playthrough. Think I'll go with a Dalish Elf in Origins this time.

Possibly will replay them.  Replayed both about 2-3 months ago already.  Maybe I'll actually make decisions I normally don't and run with them to see outcomes…and change my Origin at this point.  After I learned I could become Queen of Fereldan (I hate Anora so no king for me please - and I'm a heterosexual male  :P ) I could never play any other Origin again.  First ever play through was a Dwarf Noble though.  And after doing my first rivalry would be interesting to see the differences now.

Not gonna replay DAO because I feel like I could only play it with my original Warden

Nothing can make me replay DA2 again(ick)

And there's the DA Keep, so I think I'll just pick all the choices that are closest to what I played since 09 and roll with them.

I'll probably never be able to suffer through DAO again, even with mods. I do plan on playing DA2 again though as I still find it fun.

I plan on doing this until I realize that not all of the choices that I made will be included and therefore my worldstates will not be PERFECT. Then I will get depressed and pine for my old computer and my old saves back.

Then I will get over it, probably with the aid of a few shots of bourbon, because even if it's incredibly trivial nonsense, my perfectionism can manifest itself in truly obnoxious ways.

I am playing on xbox 360, but thanks for the offer. Most kind of you.

You are? Have you added me yet?  :o

Back on topic...

I have so many playthroughs of both games, that each time I attempt to start a new one, I get a very crabby message telling me I have reached the max number of careers.  So then I have to move them to the cloud before I can even begin. Le sigh.

Anyway, I started up a human mage DAO run, as I had Cullen in mind, and thought I'd go through both games as a mage. I hadn't done that before (mage/mage). But alas, I got bored of DAO. I had finished everything up to the Brecelian Forest, and just ran out of steam. Maybe I'd already wasted it all on the Fade, I don't know (I did that first, then Deep Roads, then Redcliffe).

So I started a new DA2 run, with an unrelated import. I also abandoned that, because it was like the 20th game where I decided to romance Fenris. Such a fresh and new idea! But dang it, dat brooding. And dat voice.

I'm thinking, though...since I'm part of the way done with that new DAO run, I might pick it up where I left off, and instead of putting Alistair on the throne, let Loghain live. In all of my playthroughs (10+), I only let him live once, but felt bad about Alistair, so I reloaded and redid the Landsmeet.

And then, I'm going to rivalmance Anders. I've never done it, and I think it might be painful, but it's time to turn over a new leaf, I think.

Oh, but do I play Awakening again? Blargh.

I'd suggest if you play on console, just skip Awakenings.  There is so many quest bugs in that game I had a large post dedicated to fan fixes.  Save that part for the Keep. ;)

^ Yeah, I probably will skip it - mostly because I completed a different run not all that long ago, and suffered through Awakening then. I mostly just do it so I can see Mr. Smexy Gravel Voice again in DA2. ;)

Look up the VA, Brian Bloom.  It'll probably increase the crush you have on Varric.  It increased mine, for sure.

The one I was thinking of was Nathaniel Howe, ala Simon Chadwick.  ;) Playing through Awakening again, just to see Nathaniel for all of 5 minutes in DA2 doesn't seem to balance correctly in my mind. But playing Awakening means I'd get to hear that lovely voice throughout it. Decisions.

Brian Bloom...is nice to look at, for sure, and I had that same experience, once I did finally see his VA. It makes me quite pleased that he'll be in DAI.

Do you know how many times I have done my "final" DA:O playthrough?   Its not even funny to keep fooling myself.    I always get the itch to replay it about once a year still.   I am nearly 100% certain I will replay both again before DA:I.

Would love to playthrough DA:O again if I hadn't played through it like 16 times back to back... back in the day.

I could pretty much tell you the entire conversation streams from Ostagar up until Denerim almost verbatim.

Though I suppose I could always try to metagame and play through every single part of the entire game for one playthrough.

When I did my last binge of the games, I kept saying, "Last time playing through for awhile, I swear!"  My husband teased me after the second time through Origins and DA2 in less than a month.   That was back in December.  I actually haven't owned the games terribly long, having only picked them up in January 2013, but I did get badly hooked.  I plan on doing one more full session the games, starting with Origins then going all the way to DA2 with the same file.  I want to make sure my decisions that I'm allowed to flag in the Keep are fresh in my mind.  :)

I beat Origins like 19 times and da2 4 times. I would replay da2 since its been a while(since release) but i gave my copy away. Im however invested enough in the lore so just bring Inquisition.

I've been playing DA for a while now on and off over 3 weeks for DA 2 and still on the first chapter, of course I'm switching between 3 play-through and progressing them to about the same points. I had to stop for Second Son,  DW8 complete edition, etc but I'm back to DA for the most part. I find it helps as a refresher course for what has happened in the world of Theadas, though what I would really love is more videos of Inquisition.

It's funny sometimes at least for me, I forget some of the enemies we encountered like the children. Then you see them again and are like wow, I forgot that was happening or darkspawns do that, and then you begin to wonder if Inquisition will conclude any lingering mysteries about a particular enemy type etc. Plus if I wasn't play the DA series again, I would most certainly not come to the forums. Rather, I would be at some other companies forums for another sequel, and their previous games that link into that sequel which I would be replaying.
