Really? Telling you to quit whining = whining? LULZWUT.

And where exactly did i say ME2 is not perfect in this thread? Oh wow more unsubstantiated accusations by this fool. I am so hurt and so embarrassed!

Zomgzurz, u so smart. Not at all a brain dead hypocrite.

Now would be a great time to quote me word for word of where exactly i was "whining".

I'll answer for you: you can't.
And the reason? You are an idiot. Btw, here's the defination of an "idiot".

1.A foolish or stupid person.2. A person of profound mental retardation having a mental age below three
years and generally being unable to learn connected speech or guard
against common dangers.

I really appreciate the way you didnt edit yourself out of that definition. It shows real integrity and courage.

As for you not being a whiner? Give over you moron. If you werent a whiner you wouldnt have posted in here. Its clearly not a problem that affects you, but you dont like people having a problem with it, and came in here to **** about it.

Bingo, because if you had the capabilities to actually google my name and not be such a retard, you would have realized that "sith lord exar kun" is a star wars character and his character is far from the idiot that you made yourself out to be.

So any one that posts here is a whiner, i see... So what does that make you?

It is considering you have been constantly crying in the old forums for months, asking the same questions, getting the same answers and being a big baby over it. Guess what, it is getting incredibly annoying seeing you whine over such a tenny weeny matter hence i asked you to shut up and quit whining for the sake of the entire forum.

I,  simply asked you to shut the hell up.

Dinkamus, I can see where you're coming from, at the moment it looks like they might have a smaller role, but we really don't know what their role will be like untill we play the game. I know it kind of sounds a bit stupid to say, but it is slightly pointless having a go at Bioware when we really dont know yet. You may of course be right, but untill we all play the game and see how big a part they may or may not play, there is little sense in gtting worked up. By all means go mental if you feel that there parts were small, but we simply dont know yet.

I appreciate you going about this reasonably (which is more than can be said for some pansies here), but there have been numerous spoilers, confirmations and reviews now affirming the fact that their role isnt up to much in ME2.

I just myself today bought a new 360 mag with an ME2 review, and it meekly criticises the game for avoiding the major decisions and skirting around them in ME2. Such as the LIs.

fair enough, I guess I just don't see it as that much of a problem, I hope the other choices are made more of, if not in ME 2, then in ME3. I think we just have to look at it as a trilogy, not just as a sequel to ME.  Also choices will always be hard to carry over from game to game, its quite a new idea, so its not strange that Bioware might have trouble making it happen.

Edit: This thread got really angry really quickly.

I've seen and heard about most videos streamed and I must tell the ME1 LI roles there is not what I really expected. I don't mind them being short, but I want a good reason for that + I want to see that the romance is still on and not a freaking friendly handshaking. I am disappointed.

Mmm yes, unlike the 10 year old crying over the lack of his/hers/its/****s favourite characters(that he/she/it/**** frequently masturbates to) in one game.

Ok, let me get my word in here...

Dink, I totally understand how upset you are over the reduced roles for ME1 LI's. I know that for me, back in August when we saw all of the new characters being announced, I was afraid for the old squad's role in all of this. After Casey confirmed that the LI's were removed as squadmates from the next game, yeah, I got mad too. But then I thought of something else. This suicide mission, and the crew that it entailed would NOT be a setting that Ashley or Liara should be involved in.

Think about it... Ashley would most likely be stabbed in the back by the new crew due to her problems with aliens as it was. (For me she learned to deal with aliens but,) And I don't think it would be because of THEIR personality, but hers. Now, don't get me wrong, I care about Ashley, she was my romance option. But, when you look at this next installment, you have to realize that Bioware is doing us a favor. They ARE saving the original characters for this next game. I mean, not all of them will be willing to join, Ashley obviously is in her dilemma, and the others are gathering their forces to fight the Reapers in the future.

They are in reasonable positions. I know what I say will not bring them back as squadmates, but my main point is this:

After learning about their reduced rolse in the game I was upset....but then I remembered what we were headed into for the next game....I don't want any of the first crew to die....and once I realized that, I began to like Grunt, Miranda, even Subject Zero. It keeps things different and interesting, and will make for one helluva ride!

And as far as ME3 is concerned...Bioware CAN bring the original crew back, I mean, they will probably have to make the game about 3 or 4 discs long, but it IS possible... I hope that helps man.

I am disappointed that BW chose the easy path: a pathetic cameo role.

That's all I have to say about that.

Nope, wrong again. Funny how asking you to shut up = whining. With that logic you are likely to be a prison b-itch and needed to voice your insecurities on how me2 sucks due to one sly incident of fictional characters not being present in one game.

With crayon? Nope, with your stupidity? Yes.

Lastly, ME1 LI's are not appearing in ME2' deal with it hun, its just a game! Good lord if if makes you feel better, theres always the razor blade tucked under your pillow, you hun, know what to do with it if it makes you that upset

Dont worry Kane, I could be accepting of a non-squadmate role on a suicide mission. I was actually, until I started to see just how little it actually amounted to.

Like I said, what Bioware plans to do with ME3 is vague and completely open to change atm. If a minor cameo role is all we get from now until then, is it really that likely theyll be back as squadmates? Or just another poor cameo role again?

That is the main purpose of this thread. Discussing whether its a possibility that from now until ME3, all we get out of these "hugely important characters" is a minor cameo role.

@ Kane-Corr

I think we are not talking about bringing ME1 LI's back to ME2 as squad-mates, we're talking about HOW our romance with them will be or better say IS implemented in ME2. I don't want the freaking picture of Kaidan on my Shepard's table, I want to talk to him and learn what he feels towards my FemShep and vice versa.

At this point, a dlc including the li would be an awesome idea. The devsstated they thought we would be pleased at their treatment, but I found it heartbreaking and frustrating.

It's not as if they are losing a sale from me, but i am pretty pissed off, and will continue to complain. That's for neglecting the ME1 fans for a bunch of new shooter fans who still won't like the game because its too rpgish. . . .

Well to be honest, I figured if a full blown story driven expansion pack that extends the story is a viable DLC option, and the "we cant have them killed and block ME3" excuse is over since the suicide mission is done with, why not have them feature?

If its as hard to keep the squadmates alive as they like to tout, some people will need replacements anyway.

That said I dont think theres a cat in hells chance. Casey probably would have mentioned it alongside his "important for ME3" comments if it were a possibility I think.

Well, I have an idea that Bioware is going to be making those characters busy, hence

Spoiler

Ashley/Kaidan being abducted by Collecters. Or even Liara gathering an army (From what I've heard) And Wrex uniting the Krogan clans. They are not just going to be sitting around saying

"Oh, hey Shepard!"

"How is your mission going?"

"Oh?"

"Well thats great!" "

"Yeah I wish I can join you but I'm too busy staring at the space nebulas from this barren wastleand of a planet!"

"See ya."

I mean, they will play a role, but it will be realistic....I know you guys didn't want that, I didn't either, but once I accepted that, I'm now looking forward to the new characters.
