I knew that Inquisitions map was going to be bigger, but to see it represented like that really puts it into perspective of how large the game is going to be.
I worry it'll make the countries kind of shallow.

I just hope it's not "bigger" in that instead of going to the Kokari wilds, Orzammar, Denerim, etc...You go to Val Royeaux, Some city in Ferelden, some city in the Free marches, etc...and nothing in between. Anything will be an improvement on DA2 in that regard though.
I hope the exploring is contained to some extent. I like an open world but too open can be annoying. I certainly hope they dont do too many irrelevant go fetch quests.
I wonder if they will have a fast travel system like DAO and DA2, or whether you will have the option to travel slowly from place to place,
It's not open world. It's just a bunch of very large maps.

Probably for the best that way.
With DLC DA2 also took place in the Vinmark Mountains and Chateau Haine.
From what i understand its not true open world, you get to visit certain areas and discover the stuff within those defined spaces. Think of it like visiting sundermount, and multiply that area by about 20 and you have the defined space in inquisition. I think one of the areas that you can visit in orlais is the western approach, a large desert if im not mistaken, now that is the area you are allowed to explore.... but getting there will be just like traveling in origins and da 2 from what i understand

I considered that, but it would just be a pair of tiny red dots, so I said "Meh". As it is, DA2's dot is way bigger than it realistically should be.
Multi-region open world. The map is divided into large sections you can explore where these sections are fully loaded so whatever buildings and caves and whatnot that exist in a certain region can be explored seamlessly. I like it this way since the old kind of open world means that there would be a loading screen for ever house you visit in a city or caves in the outer world.
wow im going get lost alot i just know it.
I don't think Inquisition goes that far east. Didn't they say we wouldn't see Denerim? To me it looks like the Fereldan Circle would be the farthest east it would go. I could be wrong though.

When did they say that ?

We don't really have all the details yet, so it was kind of vague. We may also be going more or less east or west or north or even south, depending on whatnots and whozits. This was just a general concept, not intended to be a super accurate detailed map.
The op can reduce his green rectangle because we are apparently not going to Nevarra (one more error in OXM).

It can be reduced even more because the Free Marches won't be in either. It seems that OXM never asked or was never told which regions would actually be in the game and they simply based it on what was shown in the demo map.
Seems like it's still two times as big as Origins, even without the Free Marches and Nevarra. I can see myself spending hours just looking at and exploring the maps.
I'm just hoping it's different than Origins in that we can actually walk to different locations. Origins didn't feel like a big game, because all you did was click on a square and red dots would appear signifying your Warden n' friends' travel.
DA2 did this too, but at least it didn't act like it was a big game whilst doing so.

Not quite as impressive, but still not bad.

I thought it as confirmed we'd explore Nevarra?
Nope, the opposite in fact:
There is a lot of inaccurate information floating around thanks to those articles. Unless you see something directly from the devs, proceed with extreme cynicism from here on out.
