Well, I am not going home. We've gone too far! And I'm going to stay right here and fight for this lost cause.
A day may come when the courage of men fails, but it is not this day. The line must be drawn here! This far, no further!
I'm not saying this is going to be easy. You're going to work harder then you've ever worked before. But that's fine, we'll just get tougher with it! If a person grits his teeth and shows real determination, failure is not an option. That's how winnin' is done!
Believe me when I say, "We can break this army here, and win just one for the giver." But I say to you what every warrior has known since the beginning of time, "You've got to get mad! I mean plum mad dog mean!"
If you would be free men, then you must fight! Fulfill that promise, let us cut out their living guts one inch at a time. And they will know what we can do! *AWOO*
Let no man forget how menacing we are, we are lions! Like a big elcor, man!
This is your time! Sieze the day! Never surrender! Victory of death! *incomprehensible Sean Connery line*
Who's with me?!
Alright! Let's fly!
And gentlemen in Citadel Space shall know that my name is Commander Shepard when I kill our enemies!
They may take our lives, but they will never take... our Independance Day!!
*Cue Free Willy*

This is now my favorite thread. Bravo OP. My workday will be that much shorter.
Shepard walks into the meeting room. Everyone looks nervous. Shepard pulls out his pistol and shoots Grunt in the face.
Shepard: "See what I did there? I bonded with him. I even thought of him as friend. What do you think I'm about to do to the Collectors?"
Pure.....mother......F***ing...WIN!!!! You sir...are my damn hero lol

You've heard the news, you know the mission.
You should also know there is only one way that this mission ends: and that's with the sucessful rescue of our people, from beyond the Omega-4 Relay..
Look around you. Take a good look at the men and women that stand next to you. Remember their faces, for one day you will tell your children and your grandchildren that you served with such men and women as the universe has never seen.
And together, you'll accomplish the feat that will be told and retold down through the ages, and find immortality as only the gods once knew.
I'm proud to serve with you.
Good hunting.

My actual speech would probably be more along this lines...Except that I'd have to level with the crew saying something to the effect of....We're going to bring everyone home...But that doesnt mean all of us are going to make it out alive....Look to your left....now look to your right....Now one of you, isnt coming home....But that doesnt mean that we're going to fail. It means we're going to make these bastards pay for every life they take ten fold....And then, continue as such with said quoted speech above lol.

I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me.
A day may come when the courage of my crew fails,
when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship...
but it is not this day.
An hour of varren and shattered kinetic barriers,
when the age of the citadel comes crashing down...
but it is not this day!
This day we fight!!
By all that you hold dear in this good 'verse,
I bid you stand, Crew of the Normandy!!!
Edit: Now that i think of it... that second paragraph is eerily fitting...
Edit 2:
From shamelessly pilfering Théoden to shamelessly pilfering Aragorn (movie version).
"The
day may come when the courage of men fails, when we foresake our
friends and break all bonds of fellowship. But it is not this day! An
hour of wolves and shattered shields as the age of men comes crashing
down! But it is not this day! This day we FIGHT! By all that you
hold dear I bid you stand, Men of the West!"
Bah, i thought i read every post in this thread, missed yours... but its ok, i made mine more ME appropriate

We may die here, but we must succeed in this task, or our memories will die with us. We do not fight for ourselves today, but for a greater good. Our lives no longer matter, and those of the Collectors are forfeit.
Kill 'em all.

my speech...?
Listen Normandy. Today is the day we are in the fight for our lives. Many of us may not survive. But I want you all to know how extremely proud of you all I am. Fight with honor! Fight with courage! Never surrender! Remember we are fighting for the lost!
