If they find a way to un-petrify and revive her, sure.

Depending on what exactly these Red Lyrium looking creature things are and how they are formed, I could see her potentially coming back as a named mob. Though I doubt she would be coming back as she was in DA2, let alone being a LI.

Stay calm people. We'll meet her. Red Templars had to start getting their lyrium from somewhere so they cannibalised her
. We'll see a little part of Meredith every time we lunge a sword in a Red Templar chest ![]()

She was my favorite character DA2 next to Varric. I would love to see her again but I find it unlikely.
Oh oh oh oh-maybe the Red Templars could have like um taken her petrified corpse as a sort of idol. Like what if when we stormed their lair we found this big old Meredith shrine? Like what if Meredith has become the new lyrium idol?

Err this isn't going to happen, she's dead, even the devs and wot confirm that she was killed in the final battle.
It's a sad day when players need to confirm the deaths of the characters they killed in the game, from the developers and other sources instead of while playing the game.
On topic: If you guys want her so badly, I'm sure we can try to get her petrified self to decorate your keep's hall.

Eh, what are you talking about? Are you suggesting that I didn't play DA2, and that I'm relying on the devs to prove to prove that for that reason, lol if so that's a pretty big assumption you made but if not just ignore the other parts. It's a sad day when players need to confirm the deaths of the characters they killed in the game, from the developers and other sources instead of while playing the game.

I currently own, still play and have beaten DA2 alot though can't get the icon to work, ( I also own Wot, Asunder and the comics) the poster above me said she's dead and I added to the conversation by saying that the devs and wot confirm she was killed in the final battle which had nothing to do with whether or not played DA2, the end of DA2 made it pretty obvious that she's dead.
Whatever, apparently there's Red Lyrium in fade, there's a lot of Red Lyrium in the deep roads near Kirkwall and images of Behemoth's in them so maybe they got their lyrium from one of them or maybe the antagonist gave it to them, not sure where they got their red lyrium but it doesn't have to be soley or mostly from Meredith

I wasn't talking about you Spectre. I was just saying in general how character deaths have become such dubious incidents that we have to get some sort of confirmation from the devs or the sequels, to know if those characters will be brought back to life or stay dead. It's sad that one cannot confirm the death of a character in a DA game these days without watching the corpse rot or turn to stone like Meredith.

Hmm ok then you were pretty vague, but I agree with you though even then some people will say that they didn't die or that they won't stay dead even with people playing the games and the devs confirming it.

I'd love to see her return, but it's not gonna happen. (Except maybe as decoration.)
I'm still sad at the wasted opportunity that was her character in DA2, though. I just wanted to sit down for tea and have a healthy discussion about her goals and reasons for hating mages so much and the mage/templar war in general. Also her past and what shaped her into the person she is. I mean, she seemed like a strict, but reasonably fair person prior to getting corrupted by the red lyrium idol. Hell, even WITH the lyrium idol, she didn't froth at the mouth whenever Mage!Hawke crossed her path. You could actually have civil conversations with her.
Why Bioware? Whyyy? So much wasted potential. ![]()

Couldn't say it better. Duncan and Meredith are my favourite Dragon Age characters. Evil Gaider killed them both...I'd love to see her return, but it's not gonna happen. (Except maybe as decoration.)

Apart from "DA2 was rushed, Act 3 was extremely rushed", after reading "Asunder", I think writers just don't bother for some reason to picture a sympathetic protemplar character. We never had a templar companion, while 4 apostate mages. In "Asunder" all POVs are promage. I take it the only "good" templar is a promage templar (Thrask, Evangeline). Add demonic Red Templars, and it seems a very one-sided road.
