Speaking of which, you don't have the Piranha yet?
Thinking about my TGI build...

Well yeah, but it kind of needs a smart choke. Wraith and Talon can do without.

Yeah, it does need the smart choke, unless its a CQC/melee type of character. Tbh, you're probably better off using a pistol at this point for casters, especially if you have the Power Mag mod- the rare pistols are actually quite good (arc pistol, suppressor, acolyte, executioner), and the Talon, even at level 1, is pretty darn studly, probably better than alot of pistols at level X, especially with its multiplier against shields and barriers (very useful for adept classes, who are usually strong vs. armor).

Agreed; the heavy barrel (+40% damage) is just juicy, plus you have access to the melee mod AND the power mod. And the Talon is pretty ridiculous, since its one of the best DPS weapons in the game, and by level VIII it gives you +200% cooldown (that's without the capacity passive at 4b).

This is what I use: http://kalence.drupa...13O56361!CA838G
In fact, I just finished another pug with this just now - seamless, effortless melee kit once you're used to the dodge.
Passive is not really necessary - still do enough weapon damage. Tbh on gold I barely use the weapon at all - chain overload tech explosions with ammo and melee is all you really need for most of it.
Crusader is fantastic on this sort of build.

But why is it that it sometimes doesn't work? I've had situations (with Vanguards and stuff) where it wouldn't work, and I'd leave, get into a new lobby, and then it would work. I've even had games where it stopped working mid-game and my cooldowns suddenly got brutal. (PS3, if that matters?)
If you go back into the weapon screen after setting up the glitch then your cooldowns will get reset to the correct (slower) values. Also, I've found that whenever someone joins my game in progress it causes the mods to start working as intended for some reason. Maybe that's what happened to you.

That's consistent with what I've read elsewhere, that someone joining the game in progress resets the weight glitch.

But the problem with the weight glitch has only happened to me with the Raider.

Thanks for helping me shape this build, guys. I have come to the conclusion that 5/3/6/6/6 with Crusader is the way to go. This kit absolutely wrecks things. I was cloak -> overload -> heavy melee killing phantoms just like that. That's just madness. On gold it requires an added crusader shot for the kill.
http://kalence.drupa...63W53314!C39A8G
This is the finalized build. I can strip phantom shields on gold with a cloaked zap. On Platinum, I'm falling just shy of stripping phantoms and pyros, but that's ok with me.
Crusader's DPS actually competes with the Harrier, which makes it a great boss-mowing weapon, and the thing outright terminates any mook I see at range, with the help of overload.
I sometimes change up my gear and consumables. It's pretty variable. Shotgun damage, melee damage, grenade capacity (I only use the shock trooper on platinum. Gold I can roll with 2 Stims only, and go with melee & shotgun). Shotgun or Strength Enhancer.
I actually like the stabilization module on my armor. I don't need cyclonics, I'd rather use adrenalines elsewhere, and I don't really need anything else in there. Stability makes that Crusader barely move at all per shot, which is pretty helpful in striking multiple mooks at range.
This build is serious easy mode. Even more so than I already thought it was.

Slightly off topic I know, but I wouldn't mind trying a melee havoc. I never use this guy, and I want to keep my TGI as a sniper.
Any recommendations?

Something like this maybe? (any shotgun/AR with omni blade)
Also possible to dual havoc strike, so this is worth watching

That looks like a VERY powerful build.
Thanks, I'm going to give it a go ![]()
