The shadow??? Just unlocked her on Xbox and plan to use her (don't use her on ps3) so anyone have any advice for me?

What difficulty? On Silver and Bronze she only needs a weapon to slap the power / melee amplifiers on it.

Do you want to go melee/Shadow Strike? (Pick your favorite shotgun with an omni-blade or pick your favorite pistol with the melee stunner and power amp)

 

Do you want to snipe with her with emphasis on Electric Slash for the close/mid-range targets? (Whatever sniper rifle you feel comfortable with)

 

Or do you have something entirely different in mind?

 

Happy to run a couple games with you later if you're still tinkering.

Built her for melee with only 3 in ES but I might change it up. Will be on later so will def hit you up

Depends what you want - there are many (subjective) options, depending on your build. I've seen people wreck with the BPP on her (ES spam build) for example.

 

I find pistols in general just don't deliver the raw burst damage to bosses I feel is necessary, and are more of a style thing. If you want more damage (heavy barrel) you sacrifice either melee or power amp, which affects any melee/SS build. Talon is a great choice, but if you use melee+power amp you can't take heavy barrel, so I'd say better off with a shotgun. Light weight is nice though for cooldowns.

 

Acolyte (stunner+power amp) + hurricane obviously works wonders for making SS OHKs easier on platinum - charged acolyte helps to supplement SS damage so no need for SS to OHK outright. Hurricane best saved for bosses at the end of a wave. I don't like either weapon at all though.

 

smgs and SRs are great for non-melee builds - either ES spam, hybrid or weapon focused. But personally I think what's the point of playing this character - may as well use another infiltrator...

 

ARs can be decent (25% omni-blade), but you are better off with burst rather than sustained damage, and few ARs help with this - saber for example.

 

SGs are by far the best category for any melee build - wraith, claymore, pirahna, raider (if you can handle the weight) etc... thanks to 50% omni-blade and high burst damage in cqc.

 

 

My personal preference is hands down the Wraith + HVB + omni-blade + Incendiary ammo (SS/melee build).

 

- Got sufficient burst to OHK mooks with the weapon and make serious dents in bosses.

- Incendiary ammo DoT can finish off a mook on low health - great because each shot is precious on this and similar weapons. Also can set up fire explpsions with ES.

- Omni-blade provides the wonderful 50% to both SS and melee.

This might be a more optimal spec if you are not hosting. Shadow Strike is highly susceptible to lag.

 

I love abusing the fact that her heavy melee hits multiple targets. Decapitating multiple targets with one swing is...sweeeeeeet.
