I was just reading through the Official Xbox Magazine, and was reminded of how we won't see DLC companions, because Bioware has been burned before, for having pieces of it already within the game.
But what does that mean for other DLC? Does that mean we won't see Awakening sized expansion packs, with potentially new territories? Could we end up only with new weapons and outfits? If I enjoy a game, I'm always happy to see more story driven content that gives me more time with my companions, so if that's the case, I can't deny a bit of disappointment.
((Thoughts?))
Wait. If there's no DLC companion, does that mean....

Which in itself may cause issues, as people may feel a disconnect when they return to the main content. But if it's something that occurs after an event has already happened i.e end of main campaign, etc, and they can acknowledge certain decision factors, etc, then I think people might be okay with it.
It is indeed one of the problems. The only way to do so without having the data already there would be for the conversation files to all be patched, but that process gets muddy since you're changing core game files with a DLC now.

So what are the chances of seeing another DLC like Awakening? Or with a game this massive and with so many variables, has it made it all the harder to implement? Would people be correct in saying that if it were completely separate, it would make things easier?
Awakening is disjoint from Origins. Something like that is easier to work with.

I don't know if the plans are to do a larger style, Awakenings themed expansion or not.
I imagine if the game is absurdly successful, the chances are probably greater
(like most things really haha)
