I get really bad nausea, headaches, heart palpitations and facial redness after half a bottle of light beer. 2 shots of schappes on a separate occasion were enough to send me vomiting.
It doesn't really concern me much since alcohol tastes like burning, but it makes me think it's going to really impact my social life now that I'm going into my early 20s.

I started out going to pubs and clubs as soon as I hit 18 (drinking age in NZ) as I was encouraged by my peers and it was 'cool', but alcohol has never appealed to me, even when I was buzzed. I also feel really self-conscious and vulnerable in those sorts of environments (drunk people often have no concept of personal space.)
Being with friends and listening to music is great but you'd be better going to a concert for that. At least there's probably less chance of being groped there (by strangers or 'friends'...)

I'm questioning whether I have an alcohol allergy or not.

don't get peer-pressured into drinking, you big ole goof
didn't they have police that came and yelled at you about that when you were in high school

I definitely know better now, I just wanted to get that off my chest

the sort of things people at that age drink/peer pressure you into aren't much worth drinking in anycase.
What beer was it that caused that reaction?
I personally went pretty hard with all of it when I turned 21, and found I do not like hard liquors
I'm much more into craft beers
have you tried weed?
