People would still expect an Heir.
._. You keep the consorts for the pleasure house, not the Throne.
Well, it's implied she was going to marry Cailan. Who knows, maybe a single Alistair can marry her.

Meh, at the end of the day if you care enough about your loved one you don't care what others will say.

Masked Empire puts a end to the notion of them being together, rightfully so in my eye. (In so far as any official capacity, i have nothing against multiracial couples)
It shows that ultimately despite all their similarities Elves and Humans are different and their minds and motivations are ultimately alien to each other.
It doesn't work that way when you're ruling an entire country.
It always works the same. As I said, if you care enough. If not, and if you care about ruling more then it doesn't work.

Is this book even out or are you assuming this from the Amazon preview?

Well, I don't know, marrying for love didn't work out for Henry VIII so I don't expect it to in a story.

This goes back to selfish and personal needs over duty and national requirements.
Far too many rulers get those two lines crossed and it ends poorly for the entire Nation.

Not out yet but i do have it preordered, I'll be sure to adjust my stance assuming it differs from what i read prior to release.

Just acknowledge that you are not a fit ruler if love is more important to you and put someone who cares more about the nation on the throne.
Have to be honest.

Then I'd advise not speaking in absolutes until you read the book. Stick with "It appears that..." or "So far it seems..." but saying anything for certain about the details of the book's story is silly right now.

I doubt it will change drastically from the preview but as i said i will adjust where needed if it does.
And you're advise is noted, but i am pointing out it came from a source, not merely my own speculation.

You're still assuming that the source is correct and/or without it's own bias. For all we know, that could be the viewpoint of someone incredibly anti-elf that has just slightly better views of them than Howe does. Too early too tell.
Plus, would anyone be calling a King a "harlot" or whatever because he likes his ladies on the side and isn't to be married? Or if he sleeps around? If it's okay for a King to have his mistresses, it should be fine for a Queen. That's one of my issues with calling her a "harlot."

Given it was an official preview there chances of it being relevant and accurate fairly high. To the point of bias, it was my own interepation of the series of events i read and not anything within the Material that suggested anti elven bais.
She isn't an official concubine and therefore is an illicit lover, Harlot applies add in that she prevented Celene from marrying and cementing the Empire and well...You begin see the issues that comes from their relations. She was selfish and rulers ultimately cannot be selfish if they want to be good rulers, putting personal desires over that of the Nation isn't something that should be encouraged or tolerated.
Its a detraction, a negative, whatever you want to call it, And maybe you should wait for context to be provided for before becoming offended. That's my advice.
I wasn't offended, you should know me better than that by now. With the countless hours you and I have debated over robe and skirt stuff, you know that it takes an awful lot for me to be offended by something. ![]()
I do appreciate you clarifying your stance, and it does makes sense. I don't entirely agree with your views about her personality, but I can see where you are coming from.
...So how about that Lord Seeker...Man had a cool Helmet no?

Hopefully he made a nice blood stain on the floor. Or better yet, he knows that he's a meat puppet for Cole and is powerless to do anything about it. ![]()
I was talking about his Neat Helmet, not possible fate of which i am going to assume nothing until its actually revealed.

oh my god I've never seen you talk like that lmfao, I had to double check because I thought it was ElU ![]()

So was I. His neat helmet either ending up in a puddle of blood or on his head of Cole's new body.
Besides, the square-tin-cup look is awful and he looks like a zombie on the cover art. I like the Inquisitor's one far more.
@Div Lambert touched a nerve. ![]()

Remember our bet Justinia.
One American Dollar and a Soda of my choice if Lambert turns out to be both unpossessed and alive.

Or neither of those given that nothing was confirmed about his ultimate fate as of yet?
Also he isn't a Mage, he would need be forced into Lambert to posses him, assuming they are going by the DA 2 concept.
