I haven't read the comics, but I've constantly seen that picture of Alistair killing Yavana and it looks to me as if he's all grown up, becoming a better leader. I'm excited to see his return in DA:I tbh.

Yup, looks like Yavana and Flemeth's meddling in his life hardened him quite a bit. And I've realized only recently that the comics have some seriously well written dialogue.

To be honest, I do think Yavana had it coming, considering how she and Flemeth had screwed up both his life and that of Maric, and technically Cailan to boot. It also proves how long Flemeth has been manipulating the course of events in Ferelden.

To be honest, I do think Yavana had it coming, considering how she and Flemeth had screwed up both his life and that of Maric, and technically Cailan to boot. It also proves how long Flemeth has been manipulating the course of events in Ferelden.

Wouldn't you be a little irritated if your life had been screwed with that badly? And just because he was "heartless" in that one situation, doesn't mean he isn't the adorable goofball that we know and love.
