Irritated, yes. Willing to murder, no.
We all handle things differently.
No, it's called being human.
Speaking from personal experience i never killed any one out of retribution or base vendetta, there have been other reasons, differing ones but it was never personal and never overly bound up in emotion or attachment little lone fixation on another's destruction. so i wouldn't label that reaction as "intrinsically" Human.

Having read the comic i can point out this wasn't a life or death scenario for Alistair, He could have honored his Father's pledge or not, but he wasn't being accosted physically so "survival" doesn't factor into it.

No, You get 'Irritated' after getting a bad haircut , you get full of rage and murderous after your life is screwed that badly.
And about the 'Murder' of that Witch, I don't know her story but it wasn't a murder, simply because
A king does not murder, He executes.

No. People have made my life miserable, but I have never contemplated murdering them.
A king commits the same crimes a commoner does, just is able to get away with it for stupid reasons.
Listen, it's easy to be blinded with rage and think you're doing "justice".
Meh, I still think she had it coming.

I haven't read the comic but I tend to agree with you anyway so I'll just take your word for it

I wasn't talking about that situation, the reply was to your comment 'Anyone who puts there life over others is a sociopath' , I was talking generally
But for this situation, I haven't read the comics, but I can assume if Alistair killed that witch so casually, I can assume she was a thoroughly nasty person.

Doesn't change it from what it was though, belief in the action isn't justification of the action.

Yeah, I think we've both seen that happen before. ![]()

Justice is subjective. I like people who do what they want, over the ones that sit on a high horse and think that they have a moral high-ground.

Actions are either always just or never just, pick one.

Pfft generalization results in everything "acceptable" to some extent. its a weak contextual defense.
._. Uh She was, but he still murdered her, justifications or no doesn't change what he did.
No. People have made my life miserable, but I have never contemplated murdering them.
I don't mean to imply or assume anything, but what if you could not only get away with it but also call it High Justice, would you still never contemplate anything?

O_o I don't get what are you saying here.

When I read that comic I was shocked when he did it because I didn't think she was.

What I'm saying is your justice is this next person's injustice. So just do what you think is right, but don't call it justice.
When I read that comic I was shocked when he did it because I didn't think she was.
You didn't think she deserved it? She and Flemeth were responsible for pretty much putting Alistair on the throne, making Cailan king, and condemning Maric to be drained by the magrallen.

You have your justice and i have mine.

I would still not do it. I'm not going to lower myself to their level, or even go lower, for personal gratification.
