You have your justice and i have mine.
I don't have justice.
You have your justice and i have mine.
I don't have justice.
I don't have justice.
Then you aren't Anders which is a mercy.
Pfft generalization results in everything "acceptable" to some extent. its a weak contextual defense.
._. Uh She was, but he still murdered her, justifications or no doesn't change what he did.
OK I just read Yavana's wiki, I really am confused why Alistair killed her so callously. Unacceptable
OK let me give you an imaginary situation -:
Say there is this guy who intends to cause carnage in the future, he openly declares that to you, He intends to kill hundreds and thousands of innocent people, but as of right now, he means you no harm, it is in your power to finish him . what would you do?
Like Isabela said, justice is a vicious cycle and idealistic.
"If one comes to call vengeance justice, such justice will only breed further vengeance and trigger a vicious cycle of hatred." - Nagato

If I am in danger I obviously kill them, if not I don't care.

You are not in danger, but others are, and why won't you kill him if it is in your power?

Depends on a lot of factors, i may or may not care, i may or may not try to stop him and i may or may not actually offer assistance. You were vague likely on purpose but that's the issue with hypothetical. Made my bones killing insurgents never thought i'd be one but i wouldn't be the first to go over the fence.
"Innocent" people is a pretty concept on paper, but the masses are as much a part of most war efforts as the troops on the ground.
You are not in danger, but others are, and why won't you kill him if it is in your power?
Because conflicts that don't involve me are not my business. If the person said that they are going to hurt my friend for example, I would also act violently.
We should probably get back on topic to avoid getting this thread locked.
You didn't think she deserved it?
It's been a while since I read it but what I felt at the time was that he didn't know enough about what they were doing. It was as though he just blamed them (Flemeth/Yavana) for taking his father away. Maric may not have had great choices, but they were still choices. I guess I felt like he took his anger out on her because he had always felt abandoned by Maric.

You can lock him up for his threat, but you can't kill him because he hasn't committed murder yet.
Hmmm....shall we rehash the Seers of Rivain debate, and the totally uncalled for Annulment at Dairsmuid.
"If one comes to call vengeance justice, such justice will only breed further vengeance and trigger a vicious cycle of hatred." - Nagato
That same man also advocated turning the five great Nations into a series of craters, killing the majority of the world and imposing peace by being a god figure, only to repeat the process whenever he deemed it necessary. He put aside his childish notions at a pretty early age, growing up in a warzone does that.

Such is the nature of man.
You can lock him up for his threat, but you can't kill him because he hasn't actually committed a crime yet.
Sure I can if they tell me they will.

True. I just like how he worded it.
So....back to Asunder now?
Hmmm....shall we rehash the Seers of Rivain debate, and the totally uncalled for Annulment at Dairsmuid.
Well, it would be more on topic I suppose. It's even on the same train of thought of "killing people because what they may do".

Yeah I am pretty sure Nagato is not the right guy fir teaching the world the difference between justice and vengeance, considering that not only did he kill the guy who killed his best friend, but he also killed his family, servants, associates, pretty much everyone he ever met and had a casual conversation with.

Agreed.
Also the annulment was a completely justified reaction given the circle rebelled and decided it would go pick pansies in the field rather then be within the circle as the law dictates.
The Annulment of Dairsmuid was just wrong, baby.
No class, no decorum. No decency.
Gorillas always puttin' salt in my game.
Hey, I never said I agreed with them getting killed. I was against Alistair killing Yevana.

As I said, I only used the quote because I like how he worded it.
Agreed.

So they then attacked that Circle who had not yet shown any antagonism to the system yet? Completely unpremeditated. No reason at all for it.
