o_o

I listed several instances before were Mages died due to something as simple as a sword or arrow.

Mages are flesh Kain you do realize?

They die when you stab them a few times.

Flesh that has defense at its disposal much greater than any man made defense like simple armor and simple agility. It all comes down to training. Train right and you could thrust any arrows right back at the enemy, and make any sword melt in your enemies hands. Simple logic really considering that mages can toss people around in the first place. Are mages immune to surprise or to being exsasted due to being severely outnumbered? Not at all, but they do have the upper hand, always.

Not at all first to cast spell you need time fast rouge or warrior will kill 10 times mage not to mention archer pretty much mage can't do much unless enemy is far away and is slow in every other scenario (outside when mage fights with unarmed pesant) mages loses as presented in my video.

Komander pls.. Hawke..

Eee it wasn't hawke?

You don't need time for simpler spells with the right training, unless you are trying to cast a storm to wipe out an army or a whole village. A mage could easily spit out a fireball or toss someone with a flick of a wrist in a split second.

Make a clearer point with words, its hard form me to understand videos currently on a mobile device.

Then peoples tend to leave such area most of such areas with torned veil is caused by mages.

So we compare few killed peoples to apocalypse ok? ;)

Well that's because most of those areas comes from old battle grounds between Tevinter empire and the elves as for Kirkwall well the theory it was the place where the original mages entered the fade to the so called Golden city which would make somewhat sense.

Please, the only real time mages have caused close to an apocalypse is the blight and guess what some good came out of it too Andraste happen which bought the down fall of the Tevinter empire as the completely super power in Thedas, easy to forget right?  ;)

And you have any prove for that it seems that even darkspawn emissary powerfull mage had to time his spell same for the warden corrypheus and hawke...so not rly.

mages are strong, but they are not all powerful...  They can be overwhelmed, and their mental state has a lot to do with their spells....  an experienced warrior or rogue will find that a normal mage is no more than a guy with a torch...  it all comes down to tactics, only an idiot would face the mage head on, unless they are a templar or have superior numbers

Yes I have proof. Even though I don't like to take gameplay as an indication of lore, since you insist. Think back to Orsino throwing fireballs at qunari, think back to magic combat in general. Even if a warrior is standing right next to a mage he can receive a telekinetic thrust to the face faster than he can finish his sword swing, and end up on the other side of the room with a broken spine.

Thats because they were mages if you want call it tevinter or elves but mages torn veil there.

Lies blight was one thing second thing when 1 qunari mage almost successfully summoned army of demons to destroy world , not to mention 1 abomnation can summon army of undead good luck then...

Heah does that mean that thedas isn't crapsack world? answer is no.

you know that took time to cast it for him and qunari were far away from him and then he had to escape ^_^

besides it was cutscene so it isn't gameplay only story...

Well, in all fairness it didn't show him conjuring it up or anything so you can't really say that.

And if it's story shouldn't be even more prominent in his point?

Exactly, a "normal" mage. Now take a mage that actually trained to fight, and is also experienced. Knowing magic and having good stamina to cast the spells is only half of the job, its like going to a gym for fitness. There is another side of the coin - the how you fight with magic, magic martial arts if you will, and that is the real deal. You can learn how to conjure fire, and then you can learn how to conjure it faster, more powerful, and more effective, and train to cast it by instinct.

He wad a master of fitness, not a master martial artist. I doubt he had any serious battle experience, only courage.

And the point if the plot is to explain that there was a horde of them there, you just don't want your graphics card to animate a houndred+ qunari to make a plot point.
