depends by what do you mean warrior if you mean swing sword then not (but here may depend on circle as irving wanted teach them that) if you mean they are trained to fight they are it is proved even harrowing is mostly fight test so well it they didn't know how to fight they would be dead/possessed at least that who went through harrowing.

No, the harrowing is a test in demon resistance not combative skills

Yeah right... because song and screams can knock you down ;)

Are you really trying to logically explain the combat in this game right now?

That has been corrected by the Devs.  Allistaire was wrong, or so high of lyrium use already he didn't remember.  Either way the devs have stated implicity and it was demonstrated in the comics that templars need lyrium.

Thanks, I kept wondering about that for a long time. ^_^

Erm, about Alistair...well, he never really got to become a templar, right? He tells that to the Warden during one of those cozy (?) camp conversations (if you can call sleeping in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by murderous bandits and rapists hidden in the woods nearby, with just a bonfire to keep you warm and turning your blood into a GPS for darkspawn to attack you while you're "fraternizing" with our LI cozy... ).

Yes...in a mental arena that has absolutely nothing to do with your physical self.

Just because there's fighting doesn't mean they're being critiqued on combative skills.

Really? In my mind I suddenly have super strength, so why can't I lift this heavy desk with my pinky?

I appreciate you trying to make a joke but it's not working. As I already said, just because you fight them does not mean they're judging your combative skills.

Point behind harrowing is check if mage can defeat/resist demon first part was fight second was resist to temptation...

Eee no? Only your protagonist which you couldn't never repeat neither any character in series every character is "physically" same as in real world So alsitair didn't had super strenght nor any other character...

Exactly.

So explain why I can't shapeshift after leaving the Fade, TKS.

So explain why never in fade did it before the warden? and even the warden couldn't do that so it was more "i lend you power" that "i can't turn into god"... as i said it wasn't skill you could touch or even hold after it was more done by some kind of power gave warden at moment or just gameplay hard to tell...

And here we go again with TKS making exceptions to his 'facts' when evidence doesn't support his side.

There's infinitely more to magic than war and death. It really wouldn't be fair to judge a mage's power by that criteria alone.

I do think Thedas needs its own Psijic Order. An endeavor to push all known boundaries and explore the arcane to its breaking point.
