I wonder how a Qunari would look in fashionable Orlesian attire.

Hmm, just wondering. Bioware said we will have horns, so they have some plan to deal with the helmet issues.
Going by that logic we can safely assume our qunari protagonist will have claws as well. So all gauntlets will be like fingerless gloves to allow for claws or something?

Hmm, maybe it's a male only thing.
Since she clearly doesn't have claws.

Maybe they just lost all their nail files in the storm?

Maybe they just lost all their nail files in the storm?
...and having them made locally by non-Qunari smiths is perhaps against the Qun?
Then again, here's some art from Green Ronin (I assume it's from the Dragon Age pen & paper RPG):

Those are claws alright. Dude looks like a D&D Elvish bodybuilder though ![]()

To be fair, even Bethany had claws in DA2 ![]()

Know thy pen & paper fantasy art. It's very 4th edition D&D (2007-8), actually.
A lot of it actually sort of feels like more elaborate versions of DA2/DA:I visually. Which sort of makes sense, DA being the illegitimate baby D&D fathered with BioWare.
The 3rd edition vibe was pretty strong in DA:O, but it's time in the Sun has come and gone.
These guys look like samurai?
No. They look like more colourful versions of these guys:
Season I was filmed in 2010.
Remember, artists rarely copy things 1:1; the Qunari seem to be a mix of the Dothraki (the 'tribal' aspects in terms of bare chest, body paint etc.) and more D&D'ish stylistic elements.
We're talking the look here, of course. Not the concept of Qunari as a society or ideology, in that respect they're more of samurai/muslim/fantasy communist mix.
Honestly, the Qunari are nothing like the Dothraki, in any way. The only reason he had paint on him, was because it was his wedding. We havent seen enough qunari to assume they're always bare chested

I don't see many similarities betwen Qunari and Dothraki. Dothraki are based on nomadic tribes likes mongolians.
As stated before Qunari have more "resembalnce" with samurais...The Arishok sound a lot like a Shogun ( but with the difference Qunari have a triuvirate for other aspetcts of their society) .They always looking for perfection...honor and pride are the pillars of their society... in these aspects they really look like the ancient japan warriors.
Sure there are many differences with samurais too. A samurai is proud of his name and his ancestors. Qunari don't have anything like that.
They are looking for a sort of utopistic comunist society... everyone have a place and a role choosed by the Qun.
In ancient Japan noble famlies always fought to gain power and prestige.
So we can't point a single reference for the qunari, but for sure they don't have anything in common with a nomad society like Dothraki

Ok i've played a little bit with photoshop and the old concept art from the first post to see how a full armored Qunari could look ;
What do you think?
This satisfies the demand of the Qun. Finally Qunari armor that is practical and looks badass. ![]()

just thought of something while reading this thread. I think there Helmets would been to be very different than medievil style buckets. Considering they have different horn shapes and sizes that the helmets would all need to be customized, and I think that most if not all of them would be a "Clamshell" kind of thing, because the way Qunari horns are so twisted and stuff putting them though holes would be hard unless the holes where huge to accompany the different ways they can twist and turn.

Meh, my qunquisitor will always ask viv for fashion advice, He hates the qun and all this "utility" nonsense. I hope we get mods with "barechest" "armor" varieties ![]()
