While it is true that sins and virtues don't have to be the exact opposites of each other, in DA universe they have to. When a benevolent spirit is corrupted, it transforms into it's opposite. So far, it's Justice to Vengeance and Faith to Pride.
Faith to Pride can be explained in a way I guess. It's like a believer vs an atheist. So if Faith is turned upside down, I suppose only Pride will remain.
Shouldn't Spirits as a rule be fairly amorphous? Being less interested in aping the mortal realm seems to be what separates them from demons.
