How many Spectres are there in the ME-Universe? I remember sth. about 200-300.
How many are in the game? Saren, you and the Douchebag.

C'mon, not EVEN ONE Spectre you meet on the Citadel or anywhere?
I mean: in KotoR 1-2 you see more Jedi and Sith AND THEY ARE UNDERPOPULATED!

:D

They're off saving the galaxy. Besides, I don't think they had much reason to get involved with a rookie Spectre.

I think Alliance intel estimated their numbers to be less than 200.

They are on secret missions... and how do you know you didn't meet one? Not all of them run around proclaiming their Spectre-hood like Shepard

It seems like some Spectres are prominent enough that most people know them by their reputation, while some, like Saren, are identifiable by sight.

I would think they're all spread across the galaxy in a mad search for rare gases, heavy metals etc..

But I would love to see a SPECTRE clubhouse/bar where we can all hang, play pool and share some stories over a galactic pint or two - would be awesome!

But comeon people, you are missing the forest because all the trees are blocking the way. It doesn't matter if we ever meet one, we explore a fair amount of the galaxy.

We never hear word of any other spectre activity besides Saren, other dead guy, and shep. We never meet another, never run into another. If their are 100-200 of them, and each one does even half of the amount of work that either Saren or Shepard do. You'd think we'd hear about something one of them did. And also, you'd think, with the entire galaxy at stake, they would be more prominent in trying to help out the council.

But who knows. *shrug*

Do you know why the other Spectres, not following Saren, would be visiting small human colonies (Feros and the UNC missions) or planets were no one lives (Virmire)?

Yeah I was hoping to see other Spectres when i first played Mass Effect and ive always wondered if we'll get to bump into another... though Garrus said he was reaplying for Spectre training if you spoke to him enough and did his side quest in ME1 so maybe he is one now??

Yea you guys have good points.

Thats why i didnt mention directly, that you should encounter them in the galaxy, BUT on the Citadel.

I mean: Everyone of them has to report and state his missions with and to the Council, doesnt they?

Not even hearing some tales of other Spectres, but about almost everything else in this Universe sounds more then just ominous.

Take for instance the chief of the Citadel Security. He dislikes Spectres very much. So he must have some (well... some more!) experience with them.

Does he even tell you one story or something? No.

It would have been much more fun, to know how this legacy is build up.

I mean the only obvious "statement" are the dead Spectre(who just couldnt open his jaw; douche)

and Saren, who becomes the Villain.

So... on which knowledge do you profoundly ground your new personal identification?

Not even one new Spectre, who trains you. "Oh! im a spectre now, so i just learn by myself all the Spectre talents!"

Ok, in DA:O you have again this story of "the talented Hero, who survives without Master and saves the World/Galaxy"!

In KotoR they made it more interesting i think.

Um, you guys DO know how massive that little sector of the galaxy we play around is, right?

With barely 200 spectres, it would be one hell of a coincidence to meet a third one.

@Dethateer: Again: Read that i am mostly referring to circumstances on the Citadel.

@Kiazus: Me too... until Saren shot him on Point-Blang-Range XD

He would have made a much mire interesting character; i thought the first time, that he anyhow survived...

The codex actually mentions that Alliance Intelligence guesses that there are fewer then a hundred Spectres. But then again I don't know how much faith you can put in Alliance Intelligence.

People don't realize how big the damn milky way is. Oh imma run into a spectre in the local cluster, lets go sit down for a drink and talk about why the rookie spectre has to take down the biggest threat to the galaxy itself :b

yea, your talking million/billions of stars not to mention how many planets are around each star. If there are only 200 of them, your chances of running into one are slim.

How many planets in the Turian empire??

How many planets in the Asari empire??

How many planets in the Salarian empire??

How many planets in the non-counsel races empires??

add up and divide by 200. I bet you then understand why you don't see one other than Nihlus. Also Saren was not the biggest threat by the belief of the Counsel, he was a threat to humans, and so the Counsel sent a human after him as a bone to humans.

Again: 4 times someone hasnt read, that the OP is talking mainlöy about possible coincidences on the Citadel!

AND: you guys are talking about logic. But this game is like a movie: It makes everything possible, so that it can fit the plot.

Most of you say: "Oooh there are 200 Spectres, but billions about billions of starsystems.

And why then can you "coincidently" see as the last survivor of your Battalion ANOTHER

Survivor somewhere in deepspace? And there are more plorterelated situations, which seem very unrealistic.

If you watch the final battle against Sovereign if you look closely when the Council ships are shooting at it/him then you can see two other Spectres fighting him HAND TO HAND. IN SPACE.

Srsly though it would have been cool to run into one other spectre but it didn't ruin the game with them being absent.

I don't know about you, but since I can simply talk with the council from my ship I see no need to "Dock". You won't be bumping into me on the citadel. I only ever go there when they call me in. So to me it makes perfect sense that you don't bump into any other specter's there. As for in space...I don't even feel the need to comment.

Think about your own behavior on the Citadel. You probably walked around and explored everything your first time there, but... during subsequent visits, you probably took the transit/taxi instead. If there happened to be any other Spectres on the Citadel at the same time Shepard was, it's most likely that they had their own business to attend to in their own personal vehicle or the like.

Just think about it. Does 007 go to the supermarket? Ever!?
