And he became an Expert on fade creatures when? He basically had no idea what he was getting into when he allowed himself to be possessed.

So you speculate this?

Wynne herself said the spirit was weakening over time and changing vessels likely did no favors giving it was working on borrowed time to begin with.

What Anders says is more important than a real person's opinion because you know its from a game not just an opinion.

Faith was keeping Wynne alive hence the weakening. I'm astonished you didn't realize that.

Hopefully without Anders' disgusting influence, Justice can go back to kicking down doors for trapped fade spirits, like he did when he was cool.

Or he can go on a tranquil-curing spree. I endorse.

That's true Justice, right there.

Works for me, so long as he drops the "ALL WILL FEEL JUSTICE'S BURN!" rubbish. Embarrassing.

So far Justice considered three things true injustice. Mages, the tranquil and the Dalish. We'll see which one he will get on next :)

I'll give you the fight with Lorne (though I think I remember Shandra volunteering) but as for the final battle, the wiki says otherwise. (Not to mention that I vaguely remember Qara's dialogue, and it implies that Qara's staying with you due to Sand not doing so.)

B***, please!

Speaking of abominations I always thought it would be neat if players who went the blood mage route actually had some risk of turning into an abomination and begin slaughtering everyone around (followed by critical mission failure or whatever DA calls it.)  Maybe a "negative" mana pool that can only be accessed though blood magic, but delving more and more increases the chances of it happening.

Why would you want random lore-braking game elements?

Well, I don't know lore too well, but why would it break it?  Or if it does is there away to have a similar type mechanism?  I like the idea of the same risk and consequences that all those blood mages we encountered in DA2.

Lol, well maybe it will brake it because what you propose is not supported by the lore?

Those blood mages had no extra risks, they were just weak-minded and/or uneducated scrubs that had no idea what they were doing or resorted to possession on purpose when cornered. You don't want to roleplay a weak-minded mage that has no idea what they are doing do you?

Says the guy that wants to play an abomination.

I tease, I tease.  I didn't get hardly any sleep.

By the way, Kain, it's b-r-e-a-k.  Not brake, as in "to stop."  That's driving me nuts. :P

I can see how random ''brake'' can make ''driving'' nuts. :P
Soz, I'll try to spell better in the future.

So Orsino was weak-minded and uneducated?  I always perceived the blood mages turning at the end as a result of being exhausted and drawing "too deeply" on reserves letting demon take hold.  I don't know.  How does it work?

Harvesters are not abominations in the sense that they're possessed. They're flesh golems.

Edit: By possessed I mean in the sense of "normal" abominations. They're spirits that get infused into something. Though I'm not sure how Orsino did it.

Blood magic is not directly related to demonic possession. Both traditionally fall under last resort category however.

Also, with regard to lore when has that ever stopped Bioware from making changes if they deem it worthy?

I might actually want to role-play a weak-minded mage who has no clue.  I recently finished a self-loathing mage-hating-mage playthrough.  It was fantastic fun.

Not sure that's really a possibility. Protagonists tend to be badass. It's like asking for a weak warrior that would fail athletic feats in cutscenes.

Badass, yes, invincible, no.  What I am suggesting is that the bloodmage tree gives you additional power/mana to draw from over standard mages...making you especially badass, but requiring the player to manage that additional power more carefully...or bam!

The BAM part is not supported by the lore. Why not make a NEW magic specialization that is going to be erratic and unstable instead? If that is what you crave.

Why on earth would anyone want to become abomination/spirit-infused entity or whatever? Those things are insane!

Besides, you have the world to save, ppl to command, why would they even listen to weak-minded person? Any lame soldier would cut through such weakling, throw him/her into the ditch and spit on the corpse. You have to be invincible in order to actually complete the game, they even come up with a thing called "save".

They were going to do that with lyrium for Templar spec'd players back in Origins, but scrapped that mechanic for good reason.  I'm not a fan of becoming an abomination nor a blood mage, but I'm not a fan of punishing players with such a mechanic.  <glares at MotB and the Spirit Eater meter>
