After that game I unlocked the claymore, so no more mattock

@Tokenusername Rio was because one of the players was working on map mastery

I'd still kill him in the reactor.

I have only been trapped in their once (while I was alive) and that was by another Dev.

Also I finished the mattock challenge so that is why I "hung it up".

And yes theoretically I could unlock everything for myself, I am using this account to play with more fans (I have been at Origin Friend cap since the demo), have a new challenge, play with people at work without having everything, and because I want to see what progression is like with all DLC installed from the start.

That is actually a good point as they don't have any consumables equipped and yet readied up. Even level 1 consumables would make a noticeable difference, especially if equipping armor piecing or drill rounds. You just need to look at old threads about how that irritates people when no consumables are equipped on gold.

I almost never use consumables, the only time I do is in platinum.

There hasn't been very many games I havent "held my own"

I'm almost shocked by that. The issue isn't about holding your own but about your combat effectiveness and having some "skin" in the game. By equipping consumables your saying that you more committed to the success of the match as you effectively putting your earned credits (in the form of consumables) into the match.

I come from the background of old style RPGs where I would always save my items thinking that their would be a point when they are more effective.

You dont have to put up money to want to succeed.

You are free to kick me all the same, its your choice, as it is mine.

If someone doesn't want me then I wont stay.

"I might need that later" leads to a very full end-game inventory.

I am not denying that, thus why I have over 100 of all level 4 consumables except Power Amplifier, and over 200 of all the level 1 consumables except shotgun and AR

I agree, it's fully your choice to equip and obviously not all people who don't equip don't play well. It's just from my own experience pugging platinum, that the majority of those who don't use equipment are also not often willing to use gels. As FireRider mentioned, it sort of demonstrates your commitment to the team and to the game. Not using equipment (or missile glitching) is the only reason I will kick from a game. I don't care if they're N7 1 (ok i know, they may not have equipment at N7 1 :P), if they equip, I won't kick them. Gold or silver, well I don't really care.. I only pug plat :P

It depends on overall strategy as well, I had no problem using gels/rockets etc.

I am a speed runner, so like using rockets and I dont buy equipment packs I buy recruit packs for the experience.

Now I'm sad. Never thought you'd be a nuker. So no slow grinding struggle matches for you ha?

I started doing speed runs, immediately after the game ran out. The group I played with (I was the only developer) started playing golds on day 1.

We set the gold speed run record back on March 22 with a time of 17:17 (I think it lasted about a week and a half)

Keep in kind mind I said balanced, not best. Vindicator was the jack of all trades weapon. It could perform any role, but didn't really excell in any particular one.

tj used it because he believed it was good for pulling off triple headshots hehe

I am not sure what you are getting at. I will be the first to admit there are people that are far better at this game than I

I almost ninja joined brojo last night, but decided against it, since some people apparently hate ninja joiners  and I have no idea which camp he's in...

People are free to join my game as they please, there is only one time I will find this "unacceptable" in that is when someone else is already coming to play, but in that case I will politely ask you to leave. Also you run the risk of joining a late game in progress :P but if you send me a message first ill be able to tell you those situations.

His N7 is really tiny.

Have only deployed Solider, Vanguard, Sentinel and Infiltrator also no promotes. Plus the manifest is 15 hours game time :P
